Bakklandet is a very nice and quiet hotel with friendly staff and good rooms. Close to city center, good location for going out for dinner. Missing the earlier dinner at the hotel, but other than this the place is very good for business purpose.
Had a relaxing and comfortable stay at the hotel. Good customer service from staff from arrival to departure. The rooms were clean and tidy. And the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast service looked good but the hot section was not so good with cold fried and scrambled eggs and the sauasges also cold. I suspect the other parts of the cooked section were similar. That is a basic and not acceptable. If the food is getting cold then it's also telling me its been sitting out for too long which is a food hygiene issue.
The most typical location (Bakklandet) in Trondheim Modern and comfortable building Large and silent rooms Large and well equipped bathrooms Good breakfast Friendly staff Bus stop to the airport just in front of the hotel.
Very good location, if you come from the airport, take the hotel bus, there is a stop in front of the hotel. 5 minutes walking to the center, to the central station, and to good restaurantes. Very good hotel, very nice staff, breakfast should be special if it includes local products and natural juices.
Our room was extremely small. Not suited for claustrophobic guests... Not very comfortable, just one chair for two people. Breakfast is very good, but also very crowded. On Sunday it was difficult to get a table, and they were running out of coffee, plates, spoons,...
Trondheim is a wonderful city to walk around. This hotel is right next to the many old wooden buildings that are so charming to see. You can cross the river right there and walk around several of the quaint streets, passing by historical pubs, including one on a floating barge and another that was named National Geographic’s 2012 Restaurant of the Year, that looks right over to the steeple of the famous Cathedral.
Good comfortable bed in a small room, made smaller by what looked like an apparatus contains bunk beds. Clean and tidy but no tea/coffee making facilities. Interesting sideways view towards the river. Good breakfast up to the usual Scandic standard.
Hotel has a great location for airport buss, sightseeing, shopping and restaurants in Trondheim. Little traffic outside. Nice view of Nidelva from many rooms and easy parking in connected parking house. Breakfast on a good lewel.
Hotel is very well located for walking around and having a good overview over Trondheim. Room plus outview gas been super, breakfast atmosphere was very nice and cozy. Food offered on a high level with wide variation. Would choose this hotel again for sure if returning to Trondheim
Lots of pluses here, particularly worth mentioning is the perfect location and great breakfast. Also the staff were really nice, and we loved the witty bartender. The rooms are very average and uninspiring. Size was ok (I had a double single use on 4th floor), but I would've liked a water boiler or something to make a simple cup of tea or coffee. The radiator was quite noisy, but I should probably have mentioned that to the staff, it might have been something that could have been fixed, I don't know.
