A hotel with a fantastic, rich, complete and balanced breakfast. Very delicious Saturday morning pancakes. A very quiet and spacious hotel with a ping pong table, a small gym and a container of water at the entrance that is always available. the staff very kind and available at any time. only the bed was not very comfortable.
A very good hotel; good location close to the city center, nice and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, great breakfasts (lots of vegan options are great). I only have one caveat; the hotel says it is eco-friendly and taking care of the planet is important. I think so too. But there are artificial plastic plants in front of the hotel entrance and in the lobby. Why? After all, natural plants are not expensive, they are prettier and they are ecological. Why plastic?
I must say I Slept very well at Comfort Hotel Trondheim. My room was as requested on a quit place in the hotel. Window at a inner place. So not the side of the street or the inside of the hotel. The room was clean. Its small, with not a lot of place to put you cloths. I missed a coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was good.
Friendly receptionist. Room facing in towards reception with only possibility of ventilation opening those windows. Only option for not being on view was closing blackout curtains, which also blocked any ventilation! White sheer curtains desperately needed. Iron available in corridor old fashioned lump of steel. Needs to be a steam iron! And having it in corridor gives youth hostel feel. Breakfast buffet minimal by typical Norwegian standards.
The hotel needs an upgrade and staff need training. The service given to locals was much better than to foreigners. I'm not sure if this was something to do with the pandemic but I never felt welcome here during my stay.
As a Choice member i expect better service. I spent thousands of kr on a 10 nights summer deal. And the first thing they tell me is that I can expect the room cleaned in my 5! days stay. When i ask for bed change after 3 days they tell me they can't because i did not give them a 1 day notice. When I then ask if they can at least take out the trash. They say no! They don't wanna enter the room that day. And alway is the covid the excuse. I was then so mad so i take out the trash and change my bed by my self. Thats what I'm paying for ?? Today i see they have been in my room. But they did not even fill up the toilet paper (was empty). Also thin walls. I hear my neighbor snore... I love the location of the hotel and the room are nice. But this will maybe be my last stay at this hotel. I expect more !!…
Granted, we are fighting the pandemic, but the hotel is still supposed to give us service, yes? Maybe the pandemic has given them too much to do, now that Norwegians travel in Norway only? Anyway, we did not feel particularly welcome, and we would have appreciated a better smile. The room was adequate, but the bathroom, although big, was lacking and with a cold floor. Breakfast was buffet style, an absolute no-no in pandemic times, as far as I go. And getting a glass of wine or a beer in the evening, well, then they pointed to pandemic regulations.
If you plan on spending time during lockdown and want to make the best out of it by using a laptop or game console, you can forget that. Wifi gets cut off cnstantly, the playstation can’t even find the network and on laptop you can hardly watch your Netflix series without being interrupted. Good staff, good cozy room, but in terms of being able to enjoy some time on your tablet, laptop or console its very dissapointing.
Placed in the middle of Trondheim Midtbyen (citycenter), short distance of everything. They have the hip (??) "Barception" which a hybrid of a bar and a reception, works fine at the "off-time" of bar hours but otherwise - not good! The room was spacious but with a small bathroom it seemed that they could have mix the square meters better between the bathroom and the bedroom. After strictly asked when to eat breakfast it seemed somewhat strange that the breakfast room was packed with people at my time - and no one checked if I got there on my time. The placed was filled with guests and no social distancing - and the the bread to cut self it seemed like the start of the second "cluster-outbreak" in Trondheim. Strange things? This is a good hotel but in Trondheim you have a multiple choice of other hotels so maybe check around before you book?…
Quite OK hotel, nice and clean. Nothing special, but OK, we had nothing to complain at and got all we needed. Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs sausages, bacon, bread, different cheese Sort, fruits, Yoghurt etc. They did even have several gluten free alternatives of bread, butter and cereal.
