Perfectly located for us - just meters away from good food (e.g. VulkanFisk), Low/no traffic noise, popular hangout area, nice park area along the small river where you might jog or walk. We were warmly welcomed and allowed to sign in early. Could hardly be better!

I booked a double room with a view, hoping to take some time off from my full-time job to get some work done on a project I'm working on. I specifically booked this room as I wanted to make sure I could relax, got lots of light and could stay near downtown Oslo. I'd been looking forward to the trip for weeks. When I finally arrived, I was handed the room key and went upstairs. I quickly realized something was wrong. Instead of a double room with a view I had been handed a key for a single room with a "view" of a concrete building and the elevator area — basically, no privacy and very limited light, especially considering you'd basically have to keep the curtains closed for privacy reasons. The receptionist was great, but unfortunately he couldn't do anything, as everything else was fully booked. He told me a mistake had been made which basically had moved me to a different room category, and that there were two options: 1) I could get 50% off my stay or 2) I could get a room with Scandic Hotels next door. The first option wouldn't work for me, but I was open for the second one. Sadly, Scandic Hotels also only had rooms with the same issue — no view, privacy or light. Finally, the only real option I had was to get a refund for the hotel. There were no issues getting my money refunded, but I'm still incredibly disappointed that I had to cancel all my plans for the stay with nothing to make up for it.

Hi Tonje, I am very sorry to hear about your negative experience with us. I understand that you had planned this for quite some time, and was disappointed when you were downgraded with compensation. There was a technical error that unfortunately resulted in an overbooking at the room category you had booked. I am happy to hear the the receptionist handled the issue in such a good way, and did everything he could to help you out. I do hope that you are willing to give us a new chance to welcome you to PS:hotel by Nordic Choice, and I've sent you an email with details about compensation. Thank you again for staying with us, and contributing to helping people back to work! Warm regards,

Had a good stay at Cozy and quiet PS hotel. There was a nice design of the room. The staff were sweet and there was a nice vibe at the hotel. The breakfast was the best. fruits, chia pudding, good bread and coffee. I will be back.

A great hotel— not luxurious— with a fantastic staff— in a fun new urban development, Vulkan, in central Oslo. Right across from the Mathallen, a warehouse turned food hall. Right next the walking paths along the Akerselva River & just a couple minutes walk to the super hip boutiques, music venues, and vintage stores of Grünerlokka. Would totally stay here again.

PS:Hotell was perfect for a three night stay on my first visit to Oslo. It’s a bit away from the center, but within a 15-20 minute walk. When coming from the airport with luggage, it’s an easy 5 minute bus ride from the train station. Staff was very nice and always eager to help. I stayed in one of their economy bunk bed rooms, which was perfect for me as a solo traveler. The rooms are clean and spacious, with modern bathrooms and great showers. The surrounding Grünerløkka neighborhood is a cool place to explore and try the different restaurants or coffee shops. The Akerselva River runs almost right by the hotel, and there is a footpath along the river that offers very interesting views of the old industrial area, now all converted to businesses or restaurants. Overall a great value for money, and with the added bonus of supporting a valuable social mission.

We stayed just for one night and everything went fantastic. Two ladies in the front desk welcomed us with a huge smile and proceed to do the check-in. We got two double room, one of them was nicer than the other, but it was all clean and you'll find everything you need. They don't have parking, but you can park in a parking lot just next to the hotel (that was quite expensive though... 270NOK per 24h). The location is great. There are universities around so it's kind of a young atmosphere but really quiet. It took us about 30min walking to get to the center of Oslo through nice streets and spots nearby. To be honest I was kind of afraid about the breakfast (I'm vegetarian) but I got shocked when I saw what they have: plenty of raw nuts, all kind of milk, cereals, muesli, fruits, bread and wasa,.... It was a shame to stay just for a night.... next time we come back to Oslo, we will definitely choose them again!

Have just checked out and am sad to leave. We've had such a lovely relaxed time here. The staff are all so helpful and friendly and we had some nice chats with reception staff on quieter evenings. P. S Hotel is a really 'chilled out' place to stay, very personal - not like a city hotel at all. Rooms are quite simply furnished but clean and comfy. We had a nice view over the Mathallen ( FoodHall) and Dansens Hus which was really nice as we were staying a whole week in Oslo but other rooms are at the back - probably not an issue if you are only here for a night or two as you can always sit in the welcoming reception area on comfy sheep skin benches and chairs and maybe play a game of Klask. Breakfast is fantastic, very fresh and good range of European breakfast choices. Staff very attentive to topping up food and drinks and clearing tables all the time. This hotel partly appealed to me because of its unusual social aspect involving getting people back into employment. It felt good to be supporting that objective whilst having a holiday. We also met lots of interesting people here from so many different countries. So all in all, a great stay, would definitely recommend and hope to stay here again in future.

Stayed for 2 nights. Good place fr a short stay with some quirks.. Positives: 1. Friendly staff ( specially Eden and her Norwegian lady colleague).. 2. Clean rooms and bathrooms 3. Customer Service...eg in breakfast on my request hot milk was arranged willingly though its not part of the buffet. 4. Modern decor with bunk bed also.. 5. Good Location and good price for this expensive city Suggestions for Improvement 1. Shower door/curtain needed..water from shower spills all over the bathroom floor 2. Couple of simple shelves need to be fixed in bathroom ...to keep toileteries, spectacles, etc 3. Hooks/hangars needed in the room for clothes,...current design is very poor in this regard 4. Cars/taxis cannot come right upto hotel door between 1pm and midnight...this causes inconvenience if u have luggage.. 5. Tea/coffee making facility in the room. Overall : I highly recommend this hotel..they are providing a great service by giving a chance for on-job training to local job seekers...

Located about a 20-minute walk from downtown in a very cool little neighborhood called Grünerløkka. Was checked in by Julie and Tor who were both very friendly and professional. Located across a food hall that all a great mix of foods at very reasonable prices (especially when you consider how expensive Oslo is compared to the EU). Will stay again next time in Oslo.
