Had a great stay at Victoria hotel. The location is exellent in the centrum of Lillehammer. Nice and clean room, and an exellent breakfast. It was a little bit diffucult to come in contact with the hotel by phone.

I recommend this hotel for families with small kids, but not for people beyond 50. Pros: Seems to be remodeled recently with modern style interiors. Very clean. Central location. Cons: As other guests write the breakfast is a mess. The beds are new but not made for people like me - 100kg, 1.85m - my back is hurting (very soft). No double beds, and they slide around on the floor. Bring some rope to steady the ship! Chairs in the room have very low back rest, too few places for hanging clothes. One elevator is too little with far too many guests. Really they have missed a lot of details during refurbishment. Reception to busy, have to use public parking.

Location is excellent with short walking distance to the city, 2 minutes top. Hotel looks nice and up to date. Breakfast was also good and the cleaning was OK. We felt that the service could've been a bit better as the receptionist seemed a bit fed up and short answered. It was also easy for them to go the easy way and say "no". Examples: 1) Called the reception 9pm to ask how the A/C function worked, as it was 26 degrees in our room and our baby girl was crying from being too hot. Just got told that they don't have A/C and that we have to open the door out to the hallway. Our A/C was taped with ducktape. 2) Asked if they could please make a drink for my mother, but got told they don't make fancy drinks. Told her its only kahlua, vodka and cream/ milk. "Sorry, we don't have milk at this hotel". 3) Asked if it was possible to set up a crib for our girl, but instead of checking if they had anything available she just replied shortly "you didn't order a crib!". Well aware of that and of course we would've paid the extra cost. We ended up installing our own travel bed instead. She was also short towards another customer as well.
