We had a lovely stay in this hotel, the bed was comfortable, the room was very modern and the waterfall shower was amazing. The room was cleaned twice a day and the little chocolates left on the bedside tables was a nice touch. The reception staff were friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations for restaurants etc. and the hotel is nice and secure as you need a room key to be able to go to the floors with rooms. The only things I would say detracted from our stay slightly was one evening about 10pm we went to the area to the left of reception and wanted to sit down for drinks. However we were told we could only sit on the stools facing the chefs for a drink as the tables were only for people coming in for dinner. There were lots of empty tables and during our stay on the stools for the next hour all the tables were still available. As guests paying to stay in the hotel I would have hoped we could have at least had a nice table to enjoy our drinks. The other thing was that on our last evening the lights by the bed stopped working, nothing would get them to turn on and there was a repetative buzzing/loud noise coming from possibly the air con every half an hour which didn't result in a good nights sleep before our flight home.…
My family stayed only one night as it was high class for our standards but it was worth it. Views from our window was the best you can get overlooking cathedral. We enjoyed restaurant and always friendly personal approach. It's walking distance anywhere. You have all the highlights In front of you. Highly recommend to everyone.
I stayed in this hotel during the month of May for 5 nights. This has been by far one of the best hotels that I have stayed. It is right in the middle of Vienna - with amazing view, walking distance to the best restaruants and cafes. The hotel service and personnel were great. The hotel restaurant and lobby (on the top floor) with city view, great food, and lovely wine list. If you are staying in Vienna, this is an amazing location with unbelievable service.
It is an architect designed (Hans Hollein) building in a marvellous central location, opposite the Stephansdom, and within walking distance of many of the marvellous sights of central Vienna and close to authentic cafes and restaurants. The front of the hotel is a curve glass wonder, though our room 410 was at the back over an internal featureless concrete yard. It had a shared balcony but no chairs on the balcony, and there were uncleared cigarette butts on the balcony floor, which we thought came from the builders working in other rooms. It was a so called jacuzzi room. The jacuzzi worked well and was great fun the first time. If you like jacuzzi every time this room could be for you. There was also a good shower room. The bathroom sink was a modern glass bowl which was difficult to avoid splashing and the plug was missing. The shampoo and other bathroom condiments were not replaced when expired. Storage facilities for clothing were totally inadequate for this level of hotel. There was only one suitcase space and poor hanging space. Double rooms are used two people with two small cases and there was only place to put one case. One entire wall was taken by a large display bar, with wine spirits etc. A small inadequate amount of carafe water was provided. There were no kettle or coffee/tea making facilities. Electric plug facilities were clumsy and inadequate. We felt room cleaning was adequate, not excellent. The TV was modern and worked well. The bed and bedding was comfortable and we slept well. We were aware of a hum from an air conditioning machine in the internal yard but this did not disturb. The entrance to t his hotel is not appealing. On the ground floor one walks past a food counter to the hotel lift. Hotel reception is 6th floor, and hotel rooms are on 3re to 5th floor. There seemed no convenient place to sit outside the room. The ground floor of the building is occupied by shops and other business. Out price for 4 nights in late April 2022 was €1,080 room only (€270 per night). We did not have the breakfast which we felt overpriced, but there are other good cafes very near. We feel a fair price for the 4 nights would be €800. This hotel is described as 5 star. Based on room facilities, and the lack of common areas we feel it should be 4 or 3 star. We recommend and agree with the tripadviser review by jvtravelerParis dated Nov 2021 which states this hotel needs to get its act together in order to charge this level of prices. It is obviously a chain hotel run by managers of various levels and not by an owner manager. Alas, we feel we would be reluctant to stay again at these prices.…
Excellent food in a wonderful location, beautiful restaurant visted Wien many times and had farewell dinner at DO & CO.. Unfortunately I am 98 years old and will notmreturn to Wien. I was lucky to went back home 125 times
Nice hotel but too modern for my taste. The hotel is not so clean but the staff is very good and they are trying to please the guests. The hotel is in a very central area and you can enjoy the advantages of being near the central area of Vienna. The food was very nice (room service). I recommend it if you love modern type of hotels.
The Good: Absolutely fabulous location right on Stephensplatz. Just outside the front door to the left is a lift down into the U-Bahn that can quickly take you anywhere in the city. Funky hotel with the lobby and an Asian restaurant up on the 6th floor. Good security because you need a room key or a pass from the front desk to get to the main European restaurant on the 7th floor, the bar on the 8th, or the rooms on 3, 4, and 5. Restaurant food very good, a bit pricey, but not over the top. The Bad: Staff were always cheerful and acted attentive, but didn't always follow through. And despite numerous contacts over seven days with the front desk staff, they never remembered our name or room number. There's no coffee machine in the room to start, but they provided a Nespresso and capsules right away after we requested one. Asked for decaf capsules, and they promised they would send them right up. No decaf capsules appeared until the very last day we were there - and in the meantime I had gone out to the nearby Nespresso store and bought some. On another occasion, they promised to order a pedicab to take us to the Hofburg Palace - never arrived, so we walked and were almost late for the Spanish Riding School show. One late afternoon when we tried to make a restaurant reservation, they said they were fully booked but could squeeze us in at 7:30p if we promised to be done by 9p. No problem, but when we arrived for dinner, the staff in the restaurant had no clue about fitting us in and had to call the front desk. They want to be a 5-star hotel, but they really need to improve their service to get there. It's fine to be cheerful, but they also need to be effective. Two last things: the breakfast is not included in the high room price, and is VERY expensive (minimum 30€ for two for pastries, coffee, and juice). And there are steps inside the "city view" double rooms to get from the bedroom to the bathroom area - they should warn you about that because they're difficult if you're someone who gets up in the middle of the night.…
We changed our Reservation numerous times since March 2020 and each re-booking was met with professionalism, understanding and heart. BIG thank you to the amazing Jana Jochmann who not only amended our reservation but re-booked our limo transfers too. This was our third stay at the Do&Co hotel and in the gorgeous, one of a kind Deluxe Suite. The view is stunning, overlooking Stephansplatz and my favourite Cathedral in all of Europe, St.Stephens. It's such a sleek, sophisticated space. From the white leather furniture, to the the wrap around window seats, to the amazing gold onyx bar, it's modern luxury at its best.....and even while you're in doors you feel part of the local environment. You're still a witness to all the activity. It was a very warm welcome back to our gorgeous suite. We were thrilled to find a Sacher Torte, Champagne, Flowers, Chocolate and Gummy Bears in Champagne glasses, large bottles of Still and Sparkling Water and a lovely welcome home note from the Manager and Jana (she remembered my love of Demel chocolate and how cool is that) The best part is the water's, chocolate and gummy bears were replaced daily....loved this! This is an amazing hotel, in a phenomenal location and with a superb staff. We are booked to return June 2022.…
This hotel is part of the Marriott family of hotels and it is incredible!! 43 rooms, boutique hotel with outstanding level of service of all employees. Location UNREAL. Directly across from St. Stephens Church and within walking distance to everything you want to see on a short trip to Vienna. Definitely coming back here!
We stayed there for New Year and thought it was the best place to be during the holiday season. It is not a typical 5-star hotel as it does not have a ground floor lobby with reception etc. Instead, the reception is on the 6th floor where the bar and restaurant are. What compensates for this inconvenience is the most helpful staff who goes out of their way to make your stay pleasant. Would definitely recommend this place if you want to be in the heart of Vienna.
