Found this gem through Trip Advisor and wanted to return the favor. This hotel is located on the main shopping street in central Vienna, directly across from the Museum Quarter and within walking distance of every major tourist attraction in the central district. The rooms are comfortable and modern; the staff is friendly and helpful. I would happily stay here...

Delightful find... Hotel Das Tyrol has a superb location close to many of the city's most interesting museums. The subway was just a couple blocks away as well. The room was very ample, pretty and had a wonderful coffee maker with a selection of great coffees. The staff was very friendly and informative. I would recommend this hotel to any...

Dad Tyrol is an incredible value in Vienna. It is well run, friendly, and the perfect location. We were within sight and easy walking distance of many museums, 2 blocks from our favorite cafe Sperl), near Secesion building and the famous Nachtmarkt and had our choice of public transport. Additionally, the hotel is very quite and proved a fantastic respite...

We stayed 4 nights and were very happy. Our room was quiet, well equipped and comfortable. We received a friendly welcome from Nadine; all the staff were helpful and cheerful. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast delicious, with plentiful choice of fresh food and fruits. Tasty home baked bread. We enjoyed using the spa facilities: shower, dry and wet sauna (for private...

We spent a weekend at the Das Tyrol. The location was fantastic to get to the public transport as well as being within walking distance of many restaurants, museums and stores. The staff was always available and very helpful. We took advantage of the private sauna for a relaxing evening.

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Mariahilf
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
