The hotel held no hidden surprises. It was exactly what we were expecting having been on the website and read the reviews. The hotel was: in a great area, away from the “super tourist spots” and yet near to all attractions; it was beautifully clean with lovely decor; the rooms were on the smallish side but we enjoyed our little balcony; staff- really nice and helpful and breakfast lovely, if a tad expensive. We were more than happy with our choice and would recommend.
One of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed at and should be classified as a 5 star establishment. Super stylish, impeccably clean, and modern, but at the same time extremely comfortable and cozy. The rooms have wonderful extras from sumptuous heavy curtains, great beds, and state of the art bathrooms (just like on the photos online). No need to bring your own shower gel and shampoo/conditioner; the ones provided by Das Tyrol are outstanding, even for those with sensitive skin like me. One of the staff told me that the body wash and shampoo/conditioner are prepared by a nearby pharmacy. Oh, and the bathroom comes with a Dyson hairdryer. Another 10 is the fabulous location, right in the middle of the city. At the same time, it’s very quiet. You won't hear a peep from outside. I'd also like to personally thank the staff like the outstanding Nadine and Philip as well as Savas in the breakfast room, for whom no request was too much. In one word: spectacular!…
It took two years to get to the Hotel Das Tyrol due to COVID restrictions and wow. The hotel is ideally located to explore Vienna, I bought a 72 hour travel pass and unless you are going further afield it felt like a waste of money as you could walk most places taking in the beautiful city. We got to the hotel at around 10:00 and were promptly checked in by Lajos who was a delight to deal with throughout our stay as was Philip. The room was luxurious (No 55) quiet and well kitted out with everything you would need during your stay allowing you to travel relatively lightly. The surrounding artwork in the hotel is worth spending some time wandering around and seeing as well. An onsite spa is an added little bonus and we had an hour just chilling out after a couple of packed and hectic days walking and sightseeing. The hotel website also has some useful recommendations with regards to eating that we took up. Book this hotel, you won't be disappointed, just leave room for us should we look to return as Vienna is a beautiful city and the Hotel Das Tyrol the perfect base from which to explore. Thanks for making the two year wait worth it.…
A wonderful 3 night stay. Perfect location for shopping and sightseeing.Spotlessly clean and comfortable,we all slept well. Perfect Staff welcoming and professional. Great facilities in the rooms especially the showers. Fabulous style everywhere. I didn't use the spa but my friends said it was gorgeous.
A real gem, the reception staff are so welcoming and do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible, the bedrooms are beautifully decorated, en suite has everything you could need including heated towel rail and dyson hairdryer, beds are extremely comfortable, pillows are so soft. l would recommend Das Tyrol to friends and family and definitely stay here again.
The pictures do not capture how lovely and well appointed this hotel is. It is an easy place to relax and rest. Perfect location. Great stay! Wonderful for a couples weekend away. We will stay here again the next time we come to Vienna!
Wonderful hotel!! So clean, great design, and everything is modern. It's in a great location and very close to the shopping district. Best of all, the staff is so wonderful. I would definitely stay here again. I could not get enough of this hotel.
We loved everything about our stay at the Boutique Hotel das Tyrol. The decor is quirky and charming, with lots of modern art work to enjoy. The service is personal and friendly. Reception were always helpful, and Edouard in particular went above and beyond the call of duty helping us to organize a boat trip on the Danube in the Wachau Valley. We loved the breakfast room/bar and it was so nice to have comfortable chairs there and in reception. Our room was delightfully unfussy, containing everything we could possibly need or want, and nothing that we didn't. We had chosen a deluxe double which was situated at the back of the hotel and room 16 was wonderfully quiet. We especially liked having the comfortable sofa to be able to relax in our room after a busy day in the city. We will definitely return and will recommend to friends and family.…
Wow! The art and ambiance is beautiful here! Comfortable room. Best location for walking the city. I feel spoiled! Breakfast is a five course meal served elegantly. The staff goes above and beyond. 5 night stay and I don’t want to leave! Thank you! (Take the time to visit the art on each floor!)
The third times the charm. After being forced to cancel in March of ‘20 and again in ‘21, we finally enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of Das Tyrol. A+ all around: location, ambiance, value and a superb staff from top to bottom. If we’re luck enough to return to beautiful Wein we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again
