This is a cheaper option in Vienna so you have to grade it accordingly. It is well located near the Westbahnhof in the Neubau district which has a good selection of cafes, bars and shops. The hotel is basic and clearly needs attention (there was a broken grill on the radiator in my room and some other things which were...

If you are looking for economy and basic comfort close to the city center of Vienna, this is the hotel for you. Though the amenities are between two and three star (a little restoration could probably make a big difference), hotel's friendly staff compensates for the material short coming. There is also a covered public parking close to the hotel...

Hotel was ok .. very close to tram stop and underground which can easily lead you to the center.. wifi wasn't very good .. losses connection easily although hotel was going through a refurbishment ... overall we were happy with the hotel only thing is that you could hear anything from your neighbors!!!! Which was very annoying

We had an excellent Room, very spacious and a big bathroom. Beds were comfortable and close to shopping! Wifi was hit and miss. Modern and clean. Excellent price, friendly staff and definitely would recommend.

For folks wanting to spend a night in a central location in Vienna, without any frills or serious comfort, I would recommend this place. The rooms are clean and the beds are good. Not much more we could ask for a 1 night stay, with a plane to catch in the morning. The management was super friendly and helpful, and...

The management turned our stay into a good experience, after spending the first night in a room direct at the street with lots of noise, where we transferred into a quiet room with AC and separate second room for third person. Breakfast is from good variety and staff very helpful and accomodating. Would book it again.

Great price and good location. Rooms clean and staff friendly. Good shower and aircon. On the downside curtain let in light, wifi in room didn't work, door lock was temperemental and no english channels on TV. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, close to station and right by tram stop. Bed was very comfortable. Despite a few niggles would stay...

Positives: The location is very very good. This is a huge plus. You are 1 Metro Station away from the first main attractions and you have all you need around the hotel. It is still in the first inner circle of the city ! Negatives: Staff attitude (male staff attitude) was a fair to poor. At one point I even...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
