Boutique Hotel in timeless design of Sir Terence Conran und Conran + Partners, situated right in the heart of Viennas historic center, in a top location behind the State Opera House and the famous Albertina Museum. 39 rooms and suites do not communicate the typical hotel atmosphere, rather the feeling of your own private apartment in Vienna, with individual and very personal service. Loved, loved, loved The Guesthouse. We were there for six nights, and everything about our stay was fabulous. Location is absolutely perfect -- across the street from the Albertina Museum, one block to the Opera House, 10 minute walk to St. Stephens. So right in the middle of everything, and yet very quiet and felt removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. Every day I spent some time curled up in our room's reading nook -- a window seat overlooking the square -- and drinking a glass of the excellent (free) wine provided by the hotel. We never did manage to eat at the restaurant, but did have room service delivered one night, and enjoyed that as well. Front desk staff were uniformly friendly and helpful.

This is a hotel I would not hesitate to stay at again! On arriving (during lunch-time) - I must admit though that I was taken aback that the hotel reception is a tiny space, fronted by the hustle and bustle of its on-site cafe and brasserie. However, their front-desk staff on duty - Jacquelyn checked me in, with a very cheery and upbeat explanation of what to expect, provided me a very handy "what's on this week" pamphlet for Vienna, and even, gave me info on the nearest supermarket. In all - I stayed 5 nights in this super efficient, well-run, well-designed (Philip Starck no less) boutique hotel in Vienna. There was a two-day break in my stay, and when I returned, earlier requests like an additional waste bin for the room, additional bath mat etc were thoughtfully met! Appreciated as well the inclusive mini-bar, Jura coffee machine, and although electric kettles are not allowed in the room - hot water to make tea was sent up very quickly on request. Loved also the two chocolate treats on arrival in the room too. Shout-outs especially to front desk and bell staff - in particular Alexander, Jacquelyn of course, plus the other ladies at the front desk, Willy and the other couple of bell staff who were super helpful too. Its location is par excellent - couldn't ask for anything better. I walked everywhere - and hopefully the next time I return to stay at The Guesthouse Vienna - the construction sites in that area would be gone, which will make it even more convenient. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk to the Kaiserplatz U-Bahn (the city's underground metro), and the State Opera House. Kudos too to the hotel for "keeping up with the times" with a mobile number for WhatsApp messaging - this made it super convenient for me to message the hotel with queries and requests, even when on the go. THANK YOU, Guesthouse Vienna for being a TRUE HIGHLIGHT of my stay in beautiful Vienna. Will definitely be back.

Dear MajidiGirl! As you might expect, we were all delighted to read the very kind feedback after your recent stay with us, and thank you so much for taking the time to leave the comments. Perhaps the thing that was most pleasing is the fact that it is clear that we as a team do work hard to be able to adjust what we provide to suit the needs of our guests - and to have this sort of feedback is wonderful, it does make that extra effort all that more worthwhile. We do look forward to seeing you again. Kindest regards from Vienna, your Guesthouse Team

Everything about this hotel was amazing, the service second to none, they were over and above other hotels I have stayed in. Lovely Deluxe room, a great view at the front of the museums and the green opposite. Delicious meal there one night, Bell boys incredibly efficient, reception staff so helpful and friendly. such a good sleep too, the bed is fantastic and so comfy. We can't wait to return. Thank you all so much for a wonderful 4 night break! Andrew & Lucinda Barker :)

Exceeds expectations - which is always wonderful! When you book a hotel in a city you have never visited before it is always a risk… when you arrive and it is even better than you hoped, it is wonderful. The location of the Guesthouse is simply perfect.. at the epicentre of everything and yet it manages to feel quiet and exclusive …. Tucked away behind trees in a tiny square and yet the rooms are light and bright. The staff are simply wonderful, the service throughout, excellent…the four bottles of complimentary Austrian wine, beer and soft drinks topped up daily, are generous in a way I have yet to see in any other hotel. The Guesthouse combines being very ‘cool’ with being luxurious - reminiscent of the fantastic Soho House Group and I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend it to those who want to feel they are coming back to an exquisite bolt hole in the best part of this beautiful city rather, than being ensnared in an overdone tourist trap of a hotel. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Guesthouse and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. Fantastic - 6 stars…. Well done!

This hotel is beautiful and perfectly located . The bakery is outstanding as is the restaurant . We stayed two nights and enjoyed having breakfast and dinner at the restaurant . I would rate the restaurant a 10/10 . We loved the complimentary wine in the room. It was actually some of the best wine we had on our trip. Lastly the staff at the hotel and restaurant were extremely helpful and friendly . Thanks for a great stay !

Was here for one night, for work. The Guesthouse is very well-located, and it's super easy to get around the city from it. The room I had was modern-ish and clean. No tub, but a great shower. And so much free of charge wine in the minibar... Wonderful coffee machine. Only drawbacks - not too much counter space in the bathroom, and the curtains didn't close tightly, so I clipped them together with a coat hanger. Breakfast on the ground floor was fine the next morning. Room service in the evening only offers a limited menu (ham and cheese toasties etc). Staff were all friendly, courteous, and helpful.
