i stay here for years, its an environment what i like but the service plummeted in the last few months from close to perfect to a low budget place. exception is the pastarama bar staff and the concierge, everything else is not 5 star anymore and to forget. bars are closed, service is not existing, a complete disaster for a titanium member of the loyalty program

Recently returned from our first trip to Vienna, hotel is ideally placed for all attractions. The Club floor and rooftop bar were a highlight. The champagne in the lounge, Guy La forge was some of the best we have tasted. Enjoyed the lunch and snacks in the lounge along with the staff ,who were entertaining and knowledgeable. The roof terrace Gin and Tonics were a nice ending to the evening, the waiter from Afghanistan looked after us very well! Breakfast service was good , great coffee and plenty of choice,all staff attentive especially the waiter from Afghanistan. The Concierge and Bell boys worked hard to ensure everything went smoothly along with the Operations Director. The indoor pool was very welcome during a heat wave. Will return. Thankyou

15 minutes wait to get coffee. At 10 am- 1 hour before closing of breakfast- there was no fruit, no croissants, no butter at the buffet, and it was not replenished. The omelet ordered did not include some of the requested ingredients, dry and tasteless. Paying $37.00 for breakfast, being charged $10 for a second cappuccino, no turn down service anymore, reflects the current standards of the Ritz- Carlton.

The Ritz in Vienna is an exceptional hotel with superb service. We stayed 3 nights and want to mention Katarina at the front desk, Oliver from the Concierge service and Simon in the bar . The food and cocktails were solid and the service was consistently exceptional. Thanks for a great stay

A great experience staying in the Ritz-Carlton Vienna. The staff, the high level of service, the rooms, the convenient location and the hotel itself will make your Vienna stay truly memorable. Disappointing... views still nice, but atmosphere does not feel like a 5* hotel bar. There now are many rooftop bars in Vienna to choose from. Ritz should improve its quality... feels like a cheap bar.

Beautiful hotel. Wonderful service. Everyone has a smile and says hello and thank you. Rooms are good size with robes and slippers. Bathroom has a separate shower though controls are tricky. Bottled flat and sparkling water available. Pool and exercise room are top of the line. Underwater music for pool. Massaging lounge beds in spa. Safe in the rooms. Do need electricity converters. Restaurant service good. Would definitely recommend. Booked using Marriott points

There are no surprises. From the beginning to the end, it is all about customer care. You will get all what you expect. Details everywhere, everybody is always polite, respectful. Room is spacious and classy. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Club Lounge. The variety is small, but all of the finest quality.

I was travelling with my mother to Italy and we decided to make a short stop in Vienna ahead of the main part of our trip. I wanted to stay at a Marriott luxury priority and was leaning towards the Hotel Imperial, however my mother did not like their ultra opulent decor so I booked the Ritz instead — and I am SO GLAD I did! We arrived at the hotel in the morning, having been on a long transatlantic flight where a crying baby had prevented us from getting a good sleep. As we got to the hotel, we realized we had a problem because our taxi driver did not take credit cards, and being form Canada where the pandemic made cash almost become obsolete, we had not withdrawn any Euros. We were then greeted by Alexander, and we informed him of our problem. He told me there was an ATM in the hotel, but when he saw I was having trouble with my bank card, he offered to have the hotel pay for the taxi and bill it to my room. We thought it was a very courteous gesture and relieved us of stress. After this, a kind lady (I do not remember her name but she had black hair) checked us in and told us our room was ready (we were also upgraded), while Alexander offered us a welcome drink (sparkling wine & water). I thought the welcome drink was a nice little touch that made the Ritz a world class hotel. Alexander then brought our bags up to our room and gave us a detailed tour, explaining its various features and answered all of our questions. Alexander spoiled us during our stay, making us feel ultra special and as we were at home. He was such so kind with a sweet smile and ultra professional. We could tell that he truly loves his job and has a passion for taking good care of the guests. Proof of that is when I went to offer him a generous tip at the end of our stay, he kindly declined it. All of the other staff that we saw were also extremely kind and professional, with the service being the highlight of our stay. Now for the “hard product” (decor, amenities, facilities). Initially supposed to have been a Shangri-La, the hotel’s decor is modern and sleek, but also has some heritage touches as its in old buildings (like paintings on the ceiling in one of the grand staircases). The rooms were beautifully decoded, modern but not over the top fancy. There was a minibar containing some local items, as well as a Nespresso and a good selection of tea. The hotel pool and spa were also amazing, among the best that I have seen, and made for a very relaxing couple of hours. I didn’t try the gym but it also looked really good. I also didn’t eat at any of the restaurants or the rooftop bar, but again they looked really nice. But while the decor and amenities were good, what truly made our stay at the Ritz Calrton Vienna memorable was the top notch service. We will definitely be coming back to stay at this hotel, and I hope anyone reading this review with follow my advice and book without hesitation.
