We've come here several times over the last 12 years. With one exception (a couple of years ago), it's been reliable every time: understated elegance. It shows its age in a few places but generally holds up well, keeping its past alive. This time we had one of the newer suites on the top floor, which were pretty nice although...

Upon arrival, our taxi driver attempted to overcharge us for the ride to the hotel by giving us a rate from the train station about 3x more than what he should have. When the driver started getting agitated with us and yelling in German, we went into the hotel to see if someone working there would assist us. The woman...

Centrally located. Interiors looked to be original, in excellent state with parquet floors and chandeliers, rather than faceless corporate. Large rooms with high ceilings. staff extremely friendly and polite. Breakfast 25 Euros creates a certain pressure for gluttony at the buffet in order to get value for money, but lokd to be quite high quality.

This hotel is very centrally situated and has easy access points to the centre of Vienna. The staff are friendly and the breakfast is very nice and varied. Ideal for business travellers. The rooms are old style but comfortable and the residents bar is really very relaxing.

I chose this hotel for our stay as it was perfectly located for sight-seeing in central Vienna. I also chose it for its facilities and its less ostentatious external appearance. The hotel has two entrances, the main entrance opposite a fountain and the rear one which opens onto a pedestrianized shopping street. From the moment we arrived by taxi from...

We checked in at night and checked out next day morning. Didn't get the chance to experience the hotel. Location is excellent, rooms are huge, washrooms are clean modern and well equipped. I was surprised to get a key at the reception rather then access card. Never used a key for a hotel room for ages. The staff at check...

There's almost no better location for stay in Vienna as this hotel. Located directly at Kärntner Straße there are limitless possibilities to explore Vienna from there. Rooms are large (for European standards) and room prices is more than favourable. Staff is friendly and always willing to cooperate.

Excellent Location! Close to all major attractions. The room was spacious & well kitted out. Staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast at 25 euros was expensive & Cheaper alternatives close by. The hotel has no shuttle bus , taxi although available out side. Note to visitors (Smoking is allowed in open lounge area.).

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
