We found the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was great - quiet, comfy bed and a coffee maker which was much appreciated. The towels were a little thin, and the bedside light was not great for reading in bed, but these are small criticisms. The breakfast was great, and the location for us was perfect as we were...

Stopped two nights as part of a European rail trip with Rail Discoveries, the room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent but the set three course evening meal on the first night was not so good. Staff were friendly and helpful, particularly at reception. Bar prices a bit steep as you would expect, however, did notice that...

Bedroom rather small but worst of all was the lighting, impossible to read at night. Cleaning was the absolute minimum. Towels were of a very poor quality in this so called 4 star hotel. Most surprising of all was the unavailability of restaurant food on Saturday or Sunday. We visited in mid March so air conditioning was not available. Sleeping...

Room was clean and ready on time. There was TV, coffee machine with free coffee capsule or tea, safe, minibar and also cosmetic accessories. Receptionist was very kind and helpful with any problem. Choice for breakfast was very wide and with local food. Atmosphere in hotel calm. Hotel is dog friendly.

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
