We stayed here in January 2016 for a long weekend, The hotel is easily accessible being a 10 minute walk from the train station (which can be a bit dodgy at night) and about 15 mins walk into the centre of Vienna. It is a cute small hotel with nice modern furnishings. and friendly staff. We walked everywhere and saw...

The reception, cleaning and breakfast staff are all friendly and helpful. My room was huge and has a little foyer with coat hooks, a bench and a full mirror and then...

We visited Vienna for a long weekend, and chose this hotel from the good reviews, nice pictures as well as it's proximity to the subway. We were not disappointed! The lobby is quite small and neutral, but we got a warm reception by the staff. We were given an upgrade on the room! Moving around in the hotel it was...

We have recently spent 3 nights at this hotel and we're so impressed! We had a larger than average bed room, a bathroom with bath as well as an over-bath shower, bath sheets that were big enough to wrap oneself in and three fab breakfasts. The staff were all so helpful and friendly- a real asset for the hotel.

We stayed at the hotel in December for my 50th Birthday. On arrival the hotel had a warm and welcoming atmosphere with hot punch for guests. The reception staff were informative and friendly. We stayed in a family room and it was so lovely, clean and spacious and it was great to have tea and coffee in the room as...

Located only two subway stops from the center of the city, this small boutique hotel has a very friendly atmosphere. The reception, cleaning and breakfast staff are all friendly and helpful. The decor reminds us in all kinds of ways of Viennese traditions and sights. The metro stop is just a few steps away and into town you go!! We...

I arrived on a snowy Tuesday afternoon and was greeted with some lovely hot punch on arrival. The lady at check-in was really friendly and went to a lot of trouble to provide maps and info on everything available to see and do in Vienna. My room was large, comfortable and clean. It was themed on Vienna Coffeehouses...a lovely touch....

We stayed in this hotel in November when we visited the Christmas Markets in Vienna. From beginning to end our stay was fantastic! We arrived in Vienna on the City Airport Train and followed the website instructions - which were spot on and very easy to follow. The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk from Stephensplatz...and Vienna is a...

Regarding the location, the elevator to the U1 subway line is almost directly outside the hotel entrance, very handy if you've got luggage in tow. That U1 stop puts you two stops away from the heart of Vienna. If you're in town to visit the IAEA, that's only 4 stops in the other direction. As other reviews noted, the breakfast...

After a very long (!) research for a nice hotel in Vienna, we decided to go on Das Capri and hoped for the best. We were very glad to see that our choice was absolutely wonderful! The minute we got to the hotel Laura welcomed us with a smile and some great tips. The room was lovely, just like in...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
