Well, I really can't fault the location-right next to an underground station giving instant access to a brilliant transport system! The room I had was a single with ensuite shower & toilet. Everything spotlessly clean and the room small but cute & cosy. When I checked in I was helped up the stairs with my luggage (a great help after...

The service is quite limited so the space in the breakfast room and you never know what time you can get it send I went on the first morning and found the Stroeck. Bakery and got a first class breakfast for 6 EUROS much better than the 7 EUROS at the hotel there so when the breakfast time was not...

Stayed in a single room . The hotel location is super convenient , very near to a metro station and the neighborhood is very lively . The staff is very friendly and helpful . You have to climb a floor as there is no elevator , I didn't find that to be a big problem . Breakfast is reasonable for...

Pension Hargita is a great budget option. While it's outside of the inner ring, there's a U station right at its door. If you love to walk like me, sites like the Hofburg Palace and opera house are a little over a 25 minute walk and Naschmarkt in around 15 minutes away. It's also about a 10 minute walk from...

Our group of 8 stayed at the Pension Hargita this summer. This was a great hotel and we would definitely stay here again. Our triple bed accommodations were clean, neat, and perfect for my family of 3. We had a beautiful street view and a wonderful breeze to cool the room at night. Our hosts were very friendly. We arrived...

This hotel was right at the center of the city and very close to the Metro station - which was the biggest advantage. The rooms are very small, and a family of 3 can barely stand together inside this room. Though the rooms were clean and very tidy, the size was a concern. It was too cramped up, ideally good...

A relatively affordable accommodation in convenient MariaHilfa Str location for tourists, just around corner from U3 line station, and 20 minute walk to Ringstrasse and Museum Quarter. Stayed one night. Clean accommodation, small rooms, dark hallways. Ours overlooked side street with noisy drunks at midnight. One story walk up with an uninviting courtyard entrance. Standard breakfast is extra, dining room...

On a main shopping street, so very noisy. In a nice old building, but the reception is on the 1st floor and my room was on the 2nd floor. That's 2 big flights up, not the easiest when you are carrying your baggage up. It would have been nice if they had warned us of it. The receptionist when I...

We had a twin room with an en suite bathroom. It is quite small, but that wasn't a problem for us. The beds were comfortable. Everyone at reception spoke good English and was very friendly. There was a refrigerator in the hallway outside our room that we could use, which was nice to have. We had a late train the...

First of all the stairs are very slippery so be careful! The staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotels location is really convenient as the subway is right outside, heaps of shops and train station not far. It's a really good setup just a few maintenance issues but otherwise very good! Oh yeh and free WIFI!!!! :D

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
