This was our 4. visit and as always we are just trilled. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and beautiful rooms. Could not as for a better hotel. The location is perfect and you just want to stay in the living room all night with a glass of red wine by the fire place.

Just home from a three night stay at this hotel . Enjoyably different to the standard sort of chain hotels , this imaginatively put together hotel has some great design ideas , a variety of rooms and sizes and a great guest care ethic from the enthusiastic young staff . Brilliant breakfasts set you up for the day , and...

Excellent hotel close to the centre with varied breakfasts and enthusiastic staff. Rooms are comfortable with free Internet. It is great to be in a small hotel when you are used to bland chain business hotels on different continents.

I had a short stopover at the hotel before flying out from Vienna airport. The receptionist was very attentive. Overall excellent service and beautiful peaceful bedrooms. Very good location is in the middle of old town.

I have arrived outside business hours but was received by the staff member Martina with care and attention. She was excellent host for the guest like me - first timer. She showed...

We stayed there a couple of nights. The building is very old but it has been renovated and the rooms have modern touches, The breakfast area (also bar in the evening) is very nice and cozy. Really a charming place! The owner was around and taking interest in what was going on. The selection at breakfast was very good. The...

This hotel is so great - beautiful rooms, service, and the breakfast was excellent. So much nicer than staying in a chain - Alstadt has real character, class, and charm and is walking distance to the centre. So many nice touches, and the art/furniture is so nice to wake up to. Would definitely come back!

Large and unique rooms and very friendly staff. Great selection of breakfast items and enjoyable afternoon tea. The staff was never too busy to assist. The hotel is centrally located, with numerous shops and restaurants nearby. An enjoyable place to stay and we recommend it.

Three of us, a couple and our friend, stayed here for two nights, which was just not long enough. We all loved this hotel, and reading the negative reviews makes me feel that these people were looking for a more conventional hotel. After a short walk from the Volkstheater U bahn stop, we arrived at what appeared to be an...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
