We stayed two nights and we were all pleased with the service, the cleanliness and especially the breakfasts. The location was perfect too. The only thing that was a little awkward was the sliding glass doors between the bedroom and bathroom. They were partially transparent so you didn't feel like the bathroom was private enough. It worked okay for a...

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for 4 days just before Christmas and loved it. The hotel is beautiful and so warm and cosy. The staff are very friendly, very helpful and speak fantastic English. They were brilliant at advising us on where to go, how to get there and what to see to get the most out...

We stayed 6 nights in December - at a very good rate. It is very clean with friendly and helpful staff. Hotel only serves breakfasts which are excellent but there are many eating places within close walking distance. The rooms were fairly spacious but my only small gripe would be the size of the ensuite which was very small -...

Spent a great week exploring Vienna based from this hotel. Taxi stand is right outside the door, so we didn't even try the train which was only 3 mins walk away! ( only ~€9-11 taxi into town center) Great room with fridge & tea making facilities. Great bed and great bathroom with plenty of hot water for a deep bath....

Great value, super clean hotel with amazingly comfy beds! Really close to Prater for Christmas entertainment and 5 mins on the underground to the city centre. Great breakfast and a late check out. No complaints and would highly recommend to family and friends.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in Decmber. It was a great experience. The hotel is in a great location, close to the historic centre which we could walk to in 15 mins and close to a metro station which was only 2 stops from the centre. The staff were helpful and friendly with good English. The hotel...

Spent 4 nights at this lovely hotel. Stayed with 2 teens. We had a quad room which was quite spacious and the beds so very comfortable. Lovely bathroom too. More than anything, the staff are so helpful and friendly. Great location - you can walk to city centre or tube us 2 min walk. Lots if good restaurants within walking...

I had a very nice stay at Hotel Classic. I may stay here again on another trip. Five minutes walk to either nearby metro locations (2) make this a nice location. European breakfast was plentiful and quite tasty. I couldn't get enough of the blueberry yogurt! Parking in the hotel lot wasn't too expensive, although the lot is a little...

Just back from 4 nights in the hotel and overall I am happy to recommend it for anyone looking for a decent quality hotel in Vienna that is spotlessly clean and a stones throw away from 2 x underground stations that gets you around the city with ease. The central heating was fabulous and breakfast perfectly acceptable. You wont get...

We had a marvelous stay in this hotel during our 3 day trip to Vienna. You can take the S7 train to train station that is just a 5 minute walk from the hotel. It will cost you only 2.2 Euro, instead if 30 Euro with a taxi. The hotel is very easy to find from the station. Very good...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
