It looked older than we expected. But it was very pleasant stay. The room was clean with good taste. It's close to the metro system, which is pretty convenient. The front desk was very friendly and helpful for providing local information.

Very clean & comfortable room. Kettle available from Reception free of charge but strangely no cups provided in standard rooms -" can be bought from local Spar"! Toiletries provided. Good quality bath towel. Rooms can get very warm. Staff efficient & spoke good English. Great choice at breakfast from breads & rolls, cold meats, cheeses, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, meat... More

Such a pleasant surprise - this hotel was perfect for our family of 4 for a long weekend city break! Perfect location right next to metro station and walking distance to the opera etc. We stayed in a family room - very practical, comfortable, clean and well appointed with updated modern bathroom. A bit of noise from the busy street,... More

Vienna has 9 districts, 1 being the City Centre. this Hotel is in district 2 . It took us approx 10-15 mins to walk to the cathedral but there are two nearby underground stations. A 24 hour ticket costs 7. 60 euros which entitles you to travel on any public transport . Just remember to validate the ticket before you... More

I chose this because it is close to the train station coming from the airport, and also close enough to city centre I can walk to places. The staff is good, room was clean, and the free breakfast was also more than enough. Free Wi-Fi worked fine with my phone.

Room was spotless, no dust at all even in hidden places. 塵ひとつ無く完璧に掃除された綺麗な部屋で感動しました。日本でも今どきなかなか無いレベル。 Coffee/tea set, electrical outlet and switches on bedside and many other places, heater and air-conditioner, bath tube, hot and strong shower. コーヒー・お茶セット、枕元その他多数の電源やスイッチ類、ヒーターとエアコン、バスタブ、熱いお湯がたっぷり出るシャワーなど、日本人客が求めそうなものも完璧に揃っていました。 All receptionists speak English fluently. フロントスタッフは全員英語が上手です。 15 minutes walk or 2 metro stops (U1 and U2 comes every 4-5 minutes) to city center, and right in... Hotel well located. Basically few meters away from Prater and from several bus/subway connections. If you come by car it is easy access from the highway. The hotel has an excellent breakfast and the staff is always kind and supportive for the quite frequent questions from the tourists. Quite good for families.

This hotel was perfect for a quick visit to Vienna. It was a little farther from the city Center than I realized but it really was a quick walk. The metro is also close by. The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is great. The cafe/bar is always open.

I recently enjoyed a 4 night stay in this "Olde World" style Hotel which is located close to both the S-Bahn and U-Bahn network and is well within a leisurely walking distance of Old town Vienna in one direction and the Wurstelprater (aka "The Prater") in the other. The building has been there sine the early 1900's and although refurbished... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
