The rooms were cleaned daily, towels were changed every day and all in all the hotel is clean. The room had everything...

This was a great place to stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day with a good choice of food and drinks. It's in a fairly quiet side-street within easy reach of the city centre - the Rathaus Metro station is a matter of minutes away, and...

We visited Vienna in February and booked this hotel on-line. There are about ten rooms on each floor (of which there are five). The rooms are quite small but perfectly functional and clean. There is a good selection for Breakfast and there is free tea and coffee all day in the lounge. All of the staff were very friendly and...

Great value for money!! Really enjoyed a short two night stay here. Nice breakfast, clean room, friendly staff and great location. UBahn is less than 5 minutes away, as is the bus that goes directly to the airport. Nice to have a fridge in the room, as well. Pleasantly surprised by my stay here. Would absolutely come back!

Staying in Josefstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
