Pretty good value for a nice hotel. The lobby is quite fancy, which is a little misleading. However the rooms are still nice, a little old but clean and they do not smell like an old hotel. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was good, basic but clean. Free wifi with fast connectivity. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The...

Dear Lowcals, thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at the Tulip Inn Thueringer Hof. I am glad to read that you have had a good stay in Vienna. Actually we will have a quiet renovation starting coming year and renew all our furniture and carpets. We will integrate a bar into the lobby and add...

The hotel location was good, near a metro station. The room was very big and cosy. The only bad thing was that in the room was very cold, and even if we told them that, they did not do anything.

Hotel is located near U-Bahn station "Alser straße" (just 1 minute by foot, U6 line, goes every 5 minutes). Hotel staff is very friendly. Rooms are non-smoking, and there are 2 basic types of rooms: the ones facing the street and ones facing the park. When checking in, they give you keys of both types of rooms, so you can...

Located next to a subway stop, fairly close to city center (maybe 20 minutes away). Easy to get to from airport and easy to get to airport by public transit. Very friendly staff. Breakfast offers variety. Cons are that rooms are tiny, hotel is definitely old, and worst of all...it is literally impossible to sleep if your room is facing...

The hotel is very good for its price. Although it isn't located right in the center of the city, it is very close to the U-Bahn-station, that's why it's no problem to get fast to the every spot of Vienna. Cleanness, stuff, breakfast - everything is very good and justifies the price. So I would recommend the hotel to everyone...

Only good points: cheap and clean. Good breakfast Bad points: It looks like a very sad place. The bed was broken and noisy, the staff ok, the atmosphere a bit spectral. I would really not recomend this hotel because it is also quite far from the centre and going to the airport from there is a bit of a nightmare.......

The hotel was more a 2 star than 3 star. It was very "tired" looking and not very clean. It was very noisy - traffic and trams all night. The buffet breakfast was poor. The staff were very welcoming on arrival but that was it, even collecting the room key at the end of the day was an inconvenience to...

Vienna is a must for us around Christmas. Last year it took me ages to find suitable accommodation in Vienna, so this year I started my search in mid-November. For a party of three it is not always very easy to find a suitable room. The Hotel Thueringer Hof offered a triple bedroom within what seemed to me walking distance...

We stayed in Thueringer Hof at the begining of september, 2007, and we were very satisfied by our choice. The hotel's staff is very friendly, willing to guide us whenever we asked for indications for the touristic objectives of Vienna. The breakfast was excellent every morning. The rooms were cleaned every day, towels and sheets changed very often, too. The...

Neighbourhood Profile
The 18th district is the most inconspicuous of the listed neighbourhoods. Where else can you still watch card players at a Viennese coffeehouse, or listen to authentic Viennese folk songs with a local audience? Like most respected Viennese neighborhoods, Währing has its own street market, Kutschkermarkt, where you can best feel its pulse. One of Währing’s loveliest outdoor destinations is the small garden palace and museum Geymüllerschlössel. The exquisite 19th century interior is spiced up by contemporary art installations curated by the Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art (MAK).
