This hotel is right in the heart of the central tourist part of the city within easy walking distance of most of the sights, shopping streets and at Christmas time most of the best Christmas markets. It is a charming, traditional 'palace' type hotel with lots of character. The rooms are old fashioned yet fully appointed with a somewhat 'chateau'...

This hotel is at a very convenient location in town where its easy walking distance of most of the major attractions and restaurants. This was one of the main reasons why we booked this hotel. The lobby area and the bedrooms looks very small and the walkways are narrow while getting to your room. In addition, there is a small...

Great location for city break . Traditional style hotel with good breakfast buffet. Rooms comfortable but pillow a bit soft but not bad enough to complain. Worth a try if looking for well placed central hotel.

Superb location in the old town in easy walking distance of most of the major attractions. This has the be one of the major pluses of the hotel. The lobby area and the room looks very smart but some of the walkways and staircases could do with a bit of refreshing. I had a nice double room, which was very...

Handy for city sights. Rooms a bit dated but OK. No aircon so can be a bit stuffy. Breakfast great but ca be very busy since room is quite small. Staff great. Free coffee in foyer but limited seating. Top Tip: Quite hard to find since hotel name not visable from pavement - walked past it twice!

I used their website to book my room and had problems with getting it to go through, but it finally did. The problem is that I ended up with a reservation for a week prior to my visit. I didn't realize that until I arrived. Now, I am at fault for not reviewing the email that I got when I...

We had a wonderful stay here. Location is key - you can basically walk to most of the important sights and whole downtown. Also public transport is just around the corner. Just to set expectations: if you are into fancy shiny always the same way looking modern hotel, wrong place. If you can appreciate a family owned small hotel with...

Staff was not terribly accommodating. Rooms are very run down and threadbare. Breakfast was decent. No safe in room. Only 1 tiny elevator to get between floors. Location is amazing, but private cars cannot get to this hotel due to the no-autos rule for the city center. Overall I would not stay here again.

Great location, large room, good breakfast and friendly staff. I loved that this hotel had modern amenities, but didn't remodel the building to modernize it completely. You could imagine it as it might have looked when it was a residence.

Stayed here with friends and it is to say the least quirky --l had a double room shared with a friend and until we discovered how to open the courtyard window l have been cooler in a Sauna but the room was adequate if slightly old fashioned .The breakfast was excellent and plentiful --the courtyard could do with a paint...

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
