Great location in the centre of the old town, close to the Spanish riding school, and some amazing rooms. Doesn't look anything from the outside (reception is on the fourth floor), and easy to miss, but the location, rooms and price make up for it. Breakfast at 7.90 euros was more than sufficient for me - croissant, rolls, and more...

I give Aviano 4/5 . Everything about this hotel was perfect except the bathroom was built into the room which was a bit odd. Probably a later addition into an older apartment building. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We stayed 4 in the room. For European standards it was large. Across the street is a high end super market...

A clean, well-appointed hotel in an excellent central location. Very efficient and friendly staff. Breakfast is good value but it's hard to beat the Juice Factory right next door for a healthy start. (The Mango Bowl is great.) The Aviano is located on the corner of a popular shopping street and close to many attractions and public transport. Be aware...

The hotel feels family-run: the staff is extremely friendly, and the rooms are lovely. The location could not be better, smack in the center of town. Despite the central location, the rooms are very quiet. We did get a real large double bed, which was not made of two beds joined together. Breakfast is fine, not fantastic, but adequate. I...

the location is brilliant, between the cathedral and opera, metro station at a 2 minutes walk. The room was large but there are NO room with matrimonial bed ( only 2 beds joined) and with 2 blankets !!!!! Small bathroom but let's say OK.

We stayed in pension Aviano during Dec. 2016 for 4 nights. The location is great, very close to the opera. Everything yopu want to see is near you, not more than 15 minutes walking (top). Although it's located in a noisy neighborhood, the hotel is very quiet. The stuff is very kind, the prices are fair, the breakfast is quite...

Located between the Cathedral and the Oper, and can reach to the most of inner city area within 15 mins of pleasant walk. Many nice restorants nearby. Staffs were very much welcomming, willing to assist you in any way they can. The room was spacious and with fine view. As it is in the old city, many of the facilities...

My husband and I were here for 4 days and the staff was warm and helpful! There are a few stairs to climb before the small elevator and the hotel is tucked behind a flower stand and juice bar. These are good landmarks when you're looking for it. It's only 4 blocks from St Stephan's subway/metro stop. It's in the...

Loved the place. Our corner room was so spacious. Lots of windows; bright. Bed was good but not great. Surprisingly quiet even with the windows open in first weekend in September. Location--right on the main shopping street--was awesome. Breakfast was average at best, though the breakfast room & balcony were quite lovely/European small. The front desk was always very polite...

I chose this Hotel purely for the location, and it certainly delivers. I booked a single room which I was very happy with, it's certainly not as spacious as the others however you don't need more space. For the price I would recommend kettle and tea/coffee should be provided as standard in all the rooms. I didn't book breakfast deliberately...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
