Hotel very close to all main sights - don't let it being up a narrow cul de sac put you off - it was very good. Reception staff always very helpful and friendly; rooms were very comfortable (except perhaps the pillows, but then they're nearly always the same on the continent); and the breakfasts were enormous (if you wanted!). As...

We have just spent four nights at this great little boutique hotel in Vienna. It was our fourth stay at the Hotel Austria and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in this magnificent city as the Hotel Austria is perfect. It is within easy walking distance of everything, the staff could not be more helpful and the breakfast will keep you...

My wife and I spent a weekend in Vienna at this hotel in early May. It can be a little difficult to find as it's just off Fleischmarkt. For those arriving to Vienna's Westbanhof train station, the U-Bahn (U3, toward Simmering) is only five stops away from Stephansplatz. It's an easy walk from St. Stephen's Cathedral and Stephansplatz with the...

My husband and I stayed here for five nights in May 2013. The location is excellent - easy walk to many major attractions, and also very convenient to public transportation. Although it is so close to the cathedral, etc., it is located on a quiet dead-end street so there is no noise or car traffic. The staff is very friendly...

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in April 2013 along with my parents. The location couldn't be better. It was easy walking distance to the pedestrian area and St Stephens cathedral, but not right in the middle of the action. It was so quiet we could sleep with our windows open. We each stayed in an economy...

Thank you first of all for your nice words about your stay with us and thank you too for your comment about the difficulties with only one key for room and shower and bath room. You are absolutely right, this must have been a little difficult to handle and would have been so easy to solve with a second key....

Selected from Trip Advisor we were delighted with the result and found it impossible to find fault . The situation within the city is ideal and most places can be reached easily on foot or alternatively the use of nearby subway .Don't be put off by the entrance up a narrow alley . The reception is welcoming the staff helpful...

I stayed two nights here, in two rooms with my son and daughter-in-law. It's best feature is its location, in the old town and only blocks from the cathedral. Although in the old town, it was surprisingly quiet. The rooms were smallish but very comfortable, and the amenities were in line with the 3-star rating. The staff was reserved but helpful....

From the moment we arrived for our six night stay we felt confident that all our needs would be met. In fact they were exceeded. The helpfulness and politeness of all the staff was evident every day. The reception staff went out of their way to explain, direct, make bookings and ensure that we used our time in Vienna to...

The hotel is centrally located in the centre of Vienna and close to the metro on Schweden Platz. As the hotel is placed in a small alley, there is also no noise. The rooms are further of a good size and have all the basics incl WiFi. However, the beds are a bit short, if you are > 185cm/6'2'' and...

We were delighted with everything at this hotel. We were not expecting pretentious boutique-style accommodation, as seems to be the criteria now. There was every comfort provided, and the staff are clearly valued and this is reflected in their obvious enjoyment and satisfaction with work. The breakfast choice was astonishing. Thank you to the helpful and friendly reception staff too.
