Quiet, Clean, Excellent Location. - Really thick walls so no noise at all. - Regarding some reviews that the taxis cannot get to the front door it is not accurate. We arrived at night and the taxi left us about 50 meters from the entrance of the dead end hotel alley. On the next morning we figured the correct way...

We wanted a hotel within walking distance to a Michelin Star restaurant. I simply did a search on tripadvisor and found Hotel Austria. The reviews were good and the price was right. It is my new favorite hotel in Vienna, conveniently located in District 1, to restaurants, shopping, pubs, etc. The staff was friendly, the room wonderful, and the bathroom...

We stayed at the Hotel Austria for 7 nights and really loved everything about our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel couldn't be more conveniently located. Just a few minutes walk to the U-Bahn station and the Danube River and less then 10 minutes walk to St. Stephen's Cathedral. The rooms were clean, beds were...

An extremely friendly staff, Nice breakfast spread, Good spacious room accommodates three of us. The alley is truly lovely, tucked away in the true sense of the word, from the main street which is just minutes away. Good value for money, definitely recommended

Hotel Austria is a great find in the centre of the city. Close to great transportation links such as subway and tram lines. The hotel itself had a historical feel and the staff were the utmost helpful. It was my birthday whilst we were away and the hotel kindly left me some chocolates in my room. Breakfast was included and...

Stayed here for the new year with my wife. The location of the hotel was incredible. Less than 5 minutes walk from St Stephens cathedral, the Danube river and the heart of Vienna's shopping district. The hotel itself was situated down a quiet, narrow street. It was easy to find and well signposted. From the front, the building looked charming...

Hotel is located down a cute side alley just minutes from the main scenes of Vienna. Wonderful charm and old character make the hotel feel very authentic and special. Very quiet, modest size room with enough space for two backpacking adults. Decór was traditional, old world Vienna, complete with a single-style, locked door elevator. Free access shared computer in the...

The staff at Hotel Austria is very helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is fantastic for tourists, situated within the central, historical district of Vienna and just around the corner from a metro station. The breakfast is prepared very well and worth checking out.

We spent a week at the Hotel Austria during the Christmas holidays. We were pleasantly surprised at how convenient the location is. An easy seven minute walk to the cathedral and the center of Vienna shopping and a four minute walk to the subway that goes directly to Schönbrunn palace. There are also a number of really good restaurants located...
