A great location with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are spacious, cosy and very clean. Even if the hotel is not located in the Center, Vienna's infrastructure allows you to move with ease.

We had three days at a weekend bargain rate in this hotel in May 2016. The people at the reception were very helpful and friendly. The room was superbly fitted with traditional furnishings, including a very comfortable bed. The bath tub was very spacious and always clean. The local transportation system could be easily reached within 5 minutes from the...

This hotel is a little out of the centre of town, but 50 yds from the nearest U-Bahn station and tram stop, with a direct tram to the Belvedere, or 5 underground stations with one change to the centre. A very friendly welcome, and we had a large room with windows on two sides. Comfortable room, small ensuite shower, difficult...

Really lovely hotel. Reception is in a light airy conservatory overlooking a quaint walled garden. Booked a double room but was upgraded to a suite consisting of small hallway, WC, sitting room with sofa, two arm chairs, coffee table, a writing desk, sideboard with TV, standard lamp, wall lights and central light, a bedroom with two single beds pushed together,...

We stayed here 3 nights and can't fault the place for value for money. A stones throw from Gumpendorfer station on the U4 Bahn line and you can travel all over the city and come back to a quiet welcoming hotel. Rooms are comfy and clean albeit a little old fashioned. Would definitely book again when returning to Austria.

Having lived in Vienna 50 years ago, I felt the need to revisit. The hotel I had previously stayed, is now closed.I wanted to replicate the experience, so sought-out a neighborhood hotel from "days gone by". Perfect hotel for my needs! Owner/manager is as nice a gentleman as you will ever meet . Joined us for drinks in the bar after...

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. This was one of the cheaper hotels that we selected for our stay, but still the hotel was very nice and the staff were friendly. The room was clean and homey feeling, though still nice. The bathroom was small, particularly the shower, but it fit the bill. There was a very...

Although I had some doubts at the beginning regarding the vintage and old aspects of the hotel I have to declare myself pleased! Our room was big, vintage and clean! The breakfast was great! The staff, starting with Mr. Sorin, are wonderful. They have the time to give you all the infos that you need! I'll be booking altwienerhof for...
