I stayed at room 419 for three nights. My experience living in this perticular hotel room was everything except fun. I Can't talk for other hotel rooms, but I expect it's the same standard for the rest of the hotel rooms. None of the hotel rooms are directly linked to the hotel reception. The reception is in another building. My room didn't Have any Air Conditioning, when I went to talk to the receptionist, he was very well aware of this issue which makes me think this was just not an problem for my room, but the rest of the hotel rooms as well. The solution... An old ventilator was installed. I had to keep it on 24/7 in order to have an convenient and satisfying temperature in the room. If the ventilator was turned off for just 5 minutes, the room would be terribly hot. One of the bed lamps was somehow linked to the "big lamps" in the room. If the bed lamp was turned on, the big lamps was turned on. If the bed lamp was turned of, the big lamps was turned of. I don't know what school that electritian went too, LOL. The lamp in the fridge in the hotel room didn't work. One power outlet in the room didn't work. I specifically booked for twin beds, Not double bed. I specifically asked for the beds to be seperated. I got an double bed eitherway. Half working Wifi. The hotel has one wifi for all the guests and one premium version. I myself think that if you book an 4 star hotel for 100 euro per night. You expect a decent wifi, so you can look at social media and well netflix considering no smart Tv is installed and all the channels on the tv is in german :(, not so fun for tourists not speaking german. Bad walls. If people were moving or speaking in the corridor, you could clearly hear it all. Bad room service. The room service was not regular, one day the housekeeper could come at 10am, an other they could come at 6pm. Dust under the bed was not cleaned. I know this because me and my business partner separated the beds. Since that is what i asked for to begin with. The view is nothing to speak off, you are staring at a brick wall. But i guess that's the price you have to pay in order to live so close to the inner city. Be very careful with your keycard. Make sure not to keep it in the same pocket you have the rest of your stuff. Since the keycard doesn't work if it's next to electronics, like your phone and airpods. Just incredible. I never ate the hotel breakfeast, so I can't tell how it tastes. But the costs for one adult was 19,90 euro. The hotel is surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants that ask for way less. I don't care if it's a buffe or not, that's a lot of money. And why should you as a tourist eat the hotels breakfeast that is more expensive and not experience many of the austrian, turkish and other restaurants/ cafes in your area? It's just a bad bussiness model for the hotel. I am not an perticular petty person and I am not writing this to give the hotel a bad rep. I want this hotel to improve. Since I love this city and I will return to experience the city again. As for the hotel, it actually lives up to it's name, it is direclty placed in the biggest and main shopping street in vienna. In that regard it is very close to cafes/ restaurants/ shops. And in a walking distance to many of the cultural buildings that is so prevelent for this beautiful city.…
Excellent position of the hotel for shopping, nice, large and clean room, with a parking garage also. Overall a very good option for a few days. The staff was quiet ok and provide all information you need.
We stayedfor 5 nights . It is close enough to Stephenplatz (old city), and in the center of major shops. 3 minutes fromthe museums. Just next to a U3. The bedroom was big and comfortable. It was very clean, and our room was cleamed everyday, with new towls. Breakfast was the best meal of the day! Service was polite and caring...everybody did their best and succeeded to be helpful. It was a wonderful stay!!!! 10/10
