Hotel has a fantastic location - not more than 100-300 m away from Stephan's Dome, main shopping/pedestrian street, Opera House, metro station and many other buildings and Institutions (Hofburg etc.) This makes sightseeing, business meetings, shopping etc.more than convenient. The hotel staff was very kind upon arrival and during the stay. The room was overlooking the street but no noise...

Imagine travelling six hours to get to Vienna, then catching the excellent, convenient, fast train to the city centre, catching the underground to St Stephen Square and coming out in the dark..... walking to the hotel (it is very conveniently situated within a 100 meters from the underground exit) after having asked the way there, only to be told by...

Dear Mr. Sacco, we are very sorry for the inconveniences you were facing when arriving at our Graben Hotel, but we also want to clarify the situation. You booked 2 standard single rooms, both for the 5/11/12 till 10/11/12 - you did not book them directly at the Hotel but via Booking.com. You arrived one day later without giving notice...

I stayed there one night in March 2012. It is 40 minutes far from airport with the car. Rooms are on average level: clean but with the impression and smell of very old. The floorboards creaked and overall it was a feeling from 50 century. Breakfast was good (food and drinks), but the breakfast room is similar with the rooms....

We found the Graben Hotel in a central location for visiting central Vienna. It was clean, friendly, their own restaurant was excellent serving pizza, homemade pasta and other Italian dishes. Ok the room was narrow and ok the shower room was small but the bed was comfortable and the room clean. For a city centre location I could put up...

I know enough not to be surprised at tiny hotel rooms in Europe, but this one was so ridiculous, Worse, the bathroom was dangerous. Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
