In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

We have revisited the Graben because it is perfect for seeing Vienna minutes from most places or from a tram or metro to see the rest. (DO ride a tram). Good clean rooms provide a a rest before an enormous buffet breakast

We chose the hotel for its location and good value for our first trip to Vienna. We totally recommend it. It is not luxurious but it has everything we needed for a short trip where we spent most of our time sight seeing and only went back to sleep and for breakfast. Everything

Wonderful position (on the Graben, few steps from St. Stephen). Quite small but clean and confortable rooms, nice and well furnished private bathroom, excellent breakfast and excellent staff. We had a lovely stay.

Hotel Graben is conveniently located in the city center making a great starting point for sightseeing. Management decided to turn off the air conditioning system because it was October, however it was hot and keeping the windows open was not an option because of street noise.

Dear guest! We are yorry that you think octobre is a time of year where aircondition is still in use - in Europe we do not use aircondition all year round like e.g. in the U.S. Our hotel is equipped with an A/C system as well as a heating system - we can choose to use one of those 2. As the nights are pretty cold we already switched to our heating system - you are actually the only person in 4 hotels that complained about that fact. The Graben Hotel is situated in the heart of Vienna in a quiet side street of Graben which is a pedestrian zone. We are very delighted to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast and are looking forward to having you with us soon again. Best wishes your family Kremslehner on behalf of the Graben team

From anywhere in Vienna, head for Stephansplatz and the Graben is a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral.
