Recently refurbished hotel. Modern bathrooms and very clean rooms. Even had a balcony to sit out on. Breakfast were good and freshly made. Staff very efficient and helpful. Location is very good. City sightseeing bus stop, restaurants, underground station, tram, airport bus stop, taxi rank, ferry boats and town centre shopping all on your door step. You could not really...

We recently had a fabulous 5 night stay in Vienna and the Hotel Capricorno was an ideal base. The hotel is in a good location for transport connections with the U Bahn and trams close by. It is also easy to walk throughout the Innere Stadt. This small, modern hotel is so welcoming with very helpful, efficient and informative staff....

Stayed in this hotel for business for 2 nights. The location is good (walking distance to the center with St. Stephens Church) and so was the room. Because of the location (close to the breakfast area), the room was a bit more noisy in the morning (I believe I had room 112, but I'm not sure anymore), but nothing too...

Rather noisy, dusty and old hotel with smallest single room I ever seen. Helpful personel and good location, but does not deserve it's price above 100 Euro/night.You can find better alternative out of the city centre.

Dear Ewa1976, We noticed your review and regret that we could not completely convince you about our quality and service. The welfare of our guests is of course very important to us and we take criticism very seriously and see this as an opportunity to improve ourselves. We were given a balcony room that smelled like smoke so they changed us to a room that was large and convenient but no balcony. Staff "housekeeping and breakfast team" phenomenal!!! Breakfast options excellent. They even packed sandwiches for us as we left Vienna for points south. IMPORTANT INFO FOR VIENNA TOURISTS. Outside opera house and other concert venues, there...

Dear evanstolk, Thank you for your interesting review. We are sorry that you had to ask for a room change due to smoke smelling and already discussed your remark internally, in order to strengthen the controls and in particular, to sensitize our housekeeping.. All our rooms are non smoking rooms, so that this really should not happen. Please do accept...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

As cheerful and colorful as life itself, the Hotel Capricorno appeals to everyone who wishes to experience vibrant Vienna in the heart of the city. In the form of selected motives on wallpaper, Vienna's landmarks accompany guests all the way to their hotel room, so guests have the feeling of being in the middle of Vienna even when they are in the hotel. The 42 rooms, many of them with balcony, designed in many strong colors, are all air-conditioned and offer a tablet with information and WLAN - in addition to the free WLAN throughout the hotel and Sky programs on flat-screen TVs. Its central location directly at Schwedenplatz makes it possible to reach everything quickly. You can walk to St. Stephan's Cathedral in just five minutes. The underground and trams, as well as the landing stage of the Twin City Liner are right outside the door. Cars can be parked securely in the garage. The Capricorno is one of five Schick Hotels Vienna 'Over a century of Viennese Charm', and there is nowhere better to experience Vienna LIVE than here. ... more   less
