We stayed in this location as a family of four. We stayed in a nice suite. Plenty of room for all of us and beds for each child. Even part was a little separated to allow space and privacy for all. Hotel was clean, good breakfast was included and parking onsite. Would recommend this hotel. Much cheaper then others and...

A nice hotel in a good location, just 15 minute walk from the centre. Quite a few restaurants within walking distance. Nice rich breakfast buffet and friendly staff. Taxi rank just outside so you never have to wait for a taxi.

The hotel was reasonably priced for the size of the rooms and was well maintained and clean. As an IHG Platinum member, I am given the complimentary upgrade which is much appreciated. The hotel premises was small but had everything, I had gone to the hotel and stayed for 7 nights as I was waiting for some official documents. I...

Slept at this hotel for one night before flying out of Vienna Location of the hotel is excellent in the city centre. Close enough to some nice restaurants. Hotel offers private car park. It is however hard to find and extremely small. I had a hard time getting in and especially out of the garage without damaging my car. Rooms...

This little hotel is lovely in many respects - staff are friendly and helpful, good quality finishes and fixture give a very good feel and the location is convenient, just below the Naschmarkt. But the mattresses are too soft and just feel worn out. We had back aches for several days after that stay. Please replace with good firm mattresses...

Stayed here as a Spire Elite member for 2 nights, wasn't sure what to expect as European IHG hotels can be a hit and miss at times. However i had a wonderful experience in HI Vienna. Its very easy to reach HI from the airport a train to Wien Mittee and then a Short ride with U4 and a short...

We stayed 3 nights in a family room that was very spacious for the three of us. The service was friendly and the room was cleaned daily. Good location- not too far from the Ring and metro station and tram stop were only 5 minutes walk away. Next time we'll definitely check this hotel first.

Stayed here for 3 nights. As an IHG Spire, I was upgraded to a family room. The property has a very convenient location. 3-5 minute walk to the metro, surrounded by grocery stores, and plenty of food options nearby. Well furnished, good breakfast and friendly staff. all in all I'd say it's an average-great holiday inn.

Several reviews of the hotel claim 'outstanding' 'wonderful' I really don't feel like I stayed in the same hotel! My check in was poor, staff member with attitude when asked to change rooms or about my usual upgrade offer given by other Holiday Inn locations 'sorry fully booked'. Thanks to another team member who assisted me to find a more...

Dear WorldTraveller-787, it is great to read that you liked the breakfast staff. Unfortunately, after reading your long comment, I find it a pity that we were not able to resolve your other concerns. I was informed about your wish to change the room after check-in and your complaint already during your stay and thought that my deputy manager had...

Had an amazing break at Holiday Inn Vienna City. The staff were warm and welcoming and the room was very comfortable. Booked a Family room which had a seated area and sleeping area - more than enough room for the four of us. Highly recommend the Christmas Eve Galla Dinner. Delicious. The young staff were so helpful and friendly. Planning...

Staying in Margareten

Neighbourhood Profile
Margareten
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
