A friendly hotel within walking distance of many of Vienna's superb museums and the Spanish Riding . Less than 5 minute walk to the metro with trams stopping outside. Despite this the hotel was quiet. A superb choice at the excellent buffet breakfast set us up for the day. Brilliant front desk staff were a mine of useful information and...

I booked a surprise holiday for my partner in December and we had a wonderful stay. Harold at the reception was welcoming, friendly and very helpful from arrival to the end of our stay. We had a junior suite which was huge with a balcony overlooking the Vienna State Opera house. The room had a homely feel and was very...

Stayed here the week before Christmas and really enjoyed our stay. Room was warm and comfortable overlooking the State Opera House . Service was fantastic with very friendly staff. Breakfast offered lots of options including cereals , bacon eggs and sausage, meats and cheeses. Would recommend this Hotel and will definitely stay there again.

The Opernring hotel boasts a wonderful location within the inner city, with all one could wish to see within walking distance, or the tram/metro for the less walling inclinded. It has all the essential facilities and is easily accessible for the disabled. The staff are friendly and pleasant - it is a lovely hotel in Vienna.

With a warm welcome from Mr Herald Schubert and truly helpful guidance throughout our stay made our holiday complete. All the staff I encountered were excellent and helpful. We have just returned from a week in Vienna staying at this lovely hotel. It is in an excellent location near The Opera House and very close to many of the main sites of Vienna including The Hofburg Palace and main shopping areas, also perfect for a lot of the Christmas Markets that are dotted around the area. We had...

I did quite a bit of research - we were meeting friends staying at the LeMeridian - but we really wanted a more intimate hotel as opposed to a larger one. This hotel fit the bill. It is in a great location, very easy to walk to see the major sites, and one of the few that offered an affordable...

Lovely hotel, with lots of character on the Ringstrasse, opposite the Opera House. Noisy traffic but closing windows block this out at night. Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast, served until 11am - very civilised! Mix of modern bedrooms, minimal style with character features. Very nice but beware the club in the basement - it is noisy at...

I was recommended this hotel by a friend and so glad i took her advice. The location is the best you can get in Vienna, walking distance to all city centre attractions and right next to all public transport, including the underground which is easy to use and can take you out to the Palace. Other hotels with similar location...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
