A short 4-night break for dad and me at the turn of the season (early April) proved to be the highlight of the year so far. Located across the corner from the Vienna Opera and two doors up from the Konditorei Aida, Das Opernring is within easy walking distance of the city centre, Hofburg, Museum Quarter, Secession building, Naschmarkt, Karlskirche...

We stayed at the Operning hotel for one night and we really enjoyed it! First of all, very reasonable price for the prime location. Opera house to the left, museums to the right. Btw amazing pastries at the corner cafe! ( rude staff, but thats another story). Once inside the hotel we were greeted by Harold. Harold, your bubbly personality...

We stayed 3 nights during the Opernball and the hotel was just perfect for this purpose: located just opposite the Opera, most parts of the inner city within easy walking distance, very friendly and helpful staff, and a good breakfast.

Second time at the hotel and the staff could even remember us staying there two years ago. Staff is amazingly friendly and local! Location is perfect and value for money is unbeatable. Rooms are spacious and clean, the only downside is that they are rather outdated. In light of all the other plus points, that's not a big deal.

I just stayed there for 3 nights and I must say it's one of best hotel experiences that I ever had! (I travel a lot and can be quite particular with hotels). The room is very clean, spacious and modern. The bed is comfortable. The shower and bathroom are all superb. All staff members are very friendly and helpful. They...

Objectively speaking, the place is okay but given the price relative to the great location kitty-corner to the Opera, it is excellent. The room looks like an apartment with high ceilings, may be a bit spartan with a suppressed ambience but it has nice touches like individual duvet covers with large and small pillows, big terry cloth robes with slippers,...

I visited Vienna with my daughter and stayed here for three nights. The location was perfect, I was a little concerned when we arrived and I found out that the ground floor is a restaurant with a nightclub underneath but once our balcony doors were closed for the night we didn't hear a thing. We stayed in room 203 which...

We stayed 3 nights on 4.th floor. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Quite basic decoration, but nice. The location is superb and we got excellent service from Harald, the room was ready on our arrival around mid-day :) The breakfast is very good and the breakfast room is beautiful on the 3.rd floor. The only problem we faced...

Excellent location, very close to the Opera & to Karlsplatz station. You can easily walk to Stefansplatz & Kärntner Straße where there are many shops, bars and restaurants. Harold was very helpful, both when I was planning my stay (wanted a quiet room as was there on business) and during my stay at the hotel. I was lucky enough to...

When you first arrive the staff are delightful, very helpful and like to have a laugh. As for the hotel the rooms are spacious, bathroom is delightful and the interior is so Art Deco....love the elevator and stair well. As for position you are just around the corner from the shopping precedent and the tourist buses. Wifi can be a...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
