I was surprised that this was considered a good business hotel because we arrived at the hotel at 1030 pm to be told that there was no room service and the restaurant was closed. We had to make do with peanuts at the bar. The reception was inefficient and took 20 minutes to give us our key and they were also not able to provide proper information. The gym was adequate but very hot with no fan nor drinking water. The only redeeming feature was the location next to the river and the breakfast. Needs to do a lot better
I booked this hotel because I love Hilton in general and this one didn’t disappoint me either. We arrived late but had a nice welcoming, they gave us a nice upgrade to a room with the view over the river the Donau and the Porter helped us with the luggage cause we where pretty tired. After we woke up we were able to enjoy the beautiful view and the amazing breakfast!! The breakfast buffet has so much options it is one the best I ever had with any Hilton I stayed in and the staff is super friendly!! We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights so we were able to enjoy the view and the breakfast so many times and we didn’t get used to it because it stays amazing!! Besides that we had off course some time to enjoy the pool as well. The pool is a nice way to get some relaxing time when coming back from the city. And with the bar next to it, it was possible to have something to drink and relax at the pool. During our stay we also had some questions and things and every staff member we spoke helped us and was super friendly!! A big shout-out to the great staff!! Besides that, the location of the hotel makes it easy to access the city, because the U-Bahn station is only a 5 min walk. The only minor point of critic I have is the high parking price, this is a little to much if you ask me… but everything else was great!! Thank you again Hilton!!!…
The service in the lounge in the evenings was good and my wife’s illness, Celiac Disease, was well taken into account, many thanks to the staff for that. Due to the small number of guests, the Lounge had limited use, breakfast was served downstairs, by the river. There the staff had difficulties at times, perhaps too many new employees. COVID-19 affects many things. For example: before COVID-19 staff usually replied: "of course"... Now the staff replied: "I will ask"... One thing that comes to mind: we had to postpone this visit twice because of COVID-19. So this was our 25th anniversary trip, a couple of years late... I had asked in advance to deliver a bottle of champagne to our room - a little surprise to my wife (after all - we have been married for 25 years...). When we arrived at the hotel I asked if the champagne I had requested was in our room - I was told everything was fine. Guess what happened? I had to go downstairs to inquire about the fate of champagne. My wife wasn’t very happy about this "surprise". And neither was I. I would of course have paid for that bottle or brought my own bottle if I had even guessed this. Hilton has not yet billed for this surprise... Our 30th anniversary is only a couple of years away and we are already planning that trip and considering different options. Could you tell me the name of the hotel where we are not going to spend it?…
absolutely loved the hotel! Great location , great pool and very friendly staff. Big thanks to Wilma at the bar for giving great service and all reception staff. Looking forward to my next visit very soon ! Regards, Tihomir
Was there for a couple of days. A bit tired viewed from the outside probably due to the fantastic location right at the Danube. Inside well maintained and with ok facilities. Overall a good stay, but a little disapointed by the breakfast (slow cleaning of tables and coffemachines that doesnt work) , and it seemed a bit understaffed. Easy to go to the city from the nearby metro station, but absolute also in walking distance of the inner city.
Stayed at this hotel for several days in a deluxe room on the first floor looking over the river. One might think that a room on a higher floor would be better due to a more compelling vista, and one would be right, but only to a point. These first floor rooms have an extension, like a giant bay window, which allows for floor to ceiling picture windows, plus windows along both corners that open up to allow the outside, inside. Because of the natural ambiance with the Danube, the walking path along the river, the changing skyline and lush green trees, the location of the hotel is perfect. Now, some reviewers have presented an opposing opinion, whining about being far from the action in Vienna. Look at it this way, I walked up the path along the river not very far and that is where all the fancy river cruise boats dock. Also, getting to the underground is very convenient from the hotel. I got lost, which is my nature, but if you ask directions there will be no problem. Then it is just a few stops to where tourists like me want to go. My wife and I loved this hotel. Everyone was cordial. The bed is big and comfortable, the room was expansive. Only positive things to say.…
Overall a great stay. The hotel is in a wonderful location right on the Danube, and the facilities and especially the room were brilliant It was so nice to be able to sit outside on the edge of the Danube having breakfast Also very easy to get to central Vienna Will will definitely be back
Spent 'ere a tae o' days 'n' enjoyed danube 'n' a gey special view. Crakin' lounge room, weel trained waiters 'n' deicious cocktails. Th' steid fur feeling bein' far awa' in th' land o' vocation. Th' breakfast in th' back green - 'n' a sicht tae vienna dc. Ye cannae dae anythin' wrong 'ere.
This hotel is a little bit off the beaten track but that isn't really a bad thing. The nearest metro station is about 5 minutes walk away and a taxi to the centre of the city is about 15 euros. The cost of this is completely offset by the fact that it is cheaper than the other two Hiltons in Vienna. The staff from start to finish were brilliant. Very friendly and always willing to help. We hadn't realised that we had booked the same weekend as the Vienna marathon but despite the hotel being completely full there was plenty of space in the restaurant for breakfast and the executive suite had ample snacks and drinks for everybody. A great hotel especially if you want to chill out or go for a walk along the river. Highly recommended.
Great hotel with very good beds and linen, pillows fantastic. Good gym area with relax and outdoor pool. Can't wait to use the pool during summer. This is my preferref hotel during a project that will last until december.
