Just got back from a great 3 night stay in the Hilton Vienna Plaza, we couldn't fault it! The location is great, close the Rathaus & walking distance to most of the tourist attractions. We stayed in an executive room which proved to be excellent value as the food & drinks on the executive floor were excellent. The reception &...

It was the second time this year when we stayed in this hotel. Beginning with the lobby, trough the rooms and the breakfast everything is like we have expected from a Hilton Plaza. Maybe a a little bit more attention from the staff, which is very young and not yet prepared for this level will help in the future to...

Business traveller nomads know that feeling of anxiety as you enter the lobby (sometimes a false hope) check in and enter the room. You are hoping the 4 or 5 star rating was not done in 1987. This Hilton is top notch and I have stayed at a number of Hiltons over the years. Which can be hit and miss....

Vienna is one of my favorites cities. And Hilton is one of my favorite hotels. So was expecting a lot from my trip to Vienna and my stay at Hilton. But…the music of the various year-end parties was so loud that even at the 5th floor you could “enjoy” it, late in night. And , believe me , there was...

Excellent staff made this hotel brilliant. A good central location, an excellent room and access to the executive lounge made this a perfect break. Whatever country you come from the staff will greet you in your own language and by name, nothing was too much trouble. Strawberry pancakes made to order were brilliant. The room was spacious the shower brilliant...

A classic upscale business hotel in Vienna. Central location on the Viennese ring. Basic restaurant with a good but not exceptional buffet. The room was large with a comfortable bed. Small bathroom with a shower.

Wow! Again and again! First of all, very convenient location, 20-25 minutes from the airport by taxi, plus a metro station is literally just around the corner. The hotel itself is very nice, nice, big and clean rooms (ask for one in a higher floor, facing the plaza if possible). Rich and tasty breakfast, you can also order fried eggs,...

I went to this hotel as part of a work conference. The location of the hotel was perfect as only about 10 minutes walk from the city centre and 5 minutes walk to the tram. The hotel was beautiful and luxurious and the staff were all very friendly and professional and all spoke very good English. The main issue that...

We stayed at Hilton Vienna Plaza for 6 nights. The hotel is very well located, you can easily walk for most of the touristic attractions. We stayed in a Executive Level, good size room with a very large bathroom. The first room we stayed was a corner room, with lots of windows and a nice view of the street but...

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
