I have stayed in quite a few remarkable hotels around the world, and Sacher Wien has made an impeccable impression. In my opinion, the staff is like a family, most probably run by a dedicated management. It will be a pleasure to return as soon as possible. A little story, that proves the high standard of the hotel: A gentle...

From the moment we got out of the taxi to the time we checked out, we felt like royalty!! The service was excellent. The hotel was like staying in a museum. Our room was a tad small, but we spent so little time in it it did not matter. The bathroom was large, great shower and a lot of closet...

The Sacher still leads when it comes to provide great Hospitality with a personal touch from the always present doormen, to the bellmen and all Associates in the Marble Room where a great Buffet is spread out, one Waiter really impressed daily: Max he remebers little things and surprises with special recommendation - with this positive attitude it shows great...

Our stay in this magnificent hotel was worth the price. Well appointed rooms, knowledgable staff and wait... Did I say chocolate to die for?? Take the stairs if you have the chance and enjoy the art work.

We so enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Sacher. The hotel restaurants –especially the Sacher cake– were delightful. Our room overlooked the main street with two large windows that opened. The bathroom and bedroom were luxurious. We were spoiled by the evening turn-down service and chocolate treats. We arrived very late at night and it took a while for the...

Only stayed here for 2 nights and it left me wanting to come back. The service was exceptional. Discreet but friendly and knowledgable. The little treats left in the room. The helpful concierge who sorted out an evening concert and dinner reservations. The friendly porter and reception staff, the helpful maid...I could go on. The hotel itself makes you feel...

The location of the Hotel is excellent, especially if you want to visit the opera. We where there on the so-called Kultur-Angebot.(culture offer) The staff was very friendly and professional, with the exception of the house-keeper. She forgot to clear the used fruit plate and did not supply bottled water in the evening. For a Leading Hotel this is not...

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Hotel Sacher on our first visit to Vienna. We chose it because of its amenities and location. The hotel is amazing! The rooms are large and airy. The public areas are beautiful and there is so much history associated with this hotel. We walked to just about every place we wanted...

I just saw "Woman in Gold" and it takes place partly in Vienna and a few scenes are filmed at the Hotel Sacher. We went for coffee and chocolate mousse around Christmas time of 2014 and it was enchanting. We were able to sit outdoors and enjoy the street scene. I took photos of the one lobby room and still...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
