Simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in the world. Amazing service, very confortable and the food... unforgetable! The localization is just perfect! It is close to everything! The best restaurants, the turistic points, the stores and it is in front of the Wien Opera! The hotel is just perfect!

The Hotel Sacher is beautiful with much old-world charm. The staff is gracious and most helpful. The hotel is beautiful withe comfortable rooms. The location could not be better. Although the hotel exudes old-world charm, it has all the conveniences guests would want, good wifi, a great fitness center and spa, excellent food.

It was exciting to be in one of the oldest hotels in Vienna. Despite of its history, the interior was modernized and very well maintained. The service was great. Breakfast was the usual western style buffet but we could order eggs made the way we wanted. It is located right at the beginning of the long pedestrian only area flanked...

Unique in many ways! It makes you go back to Empress Sissi's times. You will see a mix of guests ranging from archetypical Austrian aristocrats, to business people and tourists from all over the world passing by the baroque lobby. The hotel was originally a pastry shop run by the famous Sacher family. The name rings a bell? Of course:...

My wife and I and another couple recently stayed four nights at Sacher Wien. We found the Sacher to be a delightful, typically European hotel. The staff was professional and very friendly. One of the doormen, whose name unfortunately escapes me, was extremely friendly and delightful; he totally made our experience. The location is wonderful, directly across the street from...

This is a superb hotel in a great location. Of course, whether a location is "great" depends on what you want to do in a particular city. Hotel Sacher is right across the street from the opera house, so it is an ideal location for opera (and ballet) lovers. It is a short walk to the history and fine arts...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
