Staying in the hotel, I booked connected room which I specified BEFore. As well, on the phone I confirmed the price for everything including my car. In the last day ACTER I checked out, suddenly, the Guy that’s take care of the sidewalk and the cars, decided I need to pay for the parking though I did not used the hotel parking but as he is doing he’s a side business with all the big fat guys arriving with the fence cars and I disturbed him, he complained to the reception and they charged me AGAIN in a separate payment 70€!!!! This is a theft, after paying 1600€ for 2 nights and having them agreed for my car in the phone BEFORE arriving it is just a disgrace ! Shame on you!
The service was delightful and the food was devine! I ordered tomato soup and my dad ordered gulash soup for starters and for main I ordered the chicken and my dad ordered risoto. For desert we had soufflé and everything was delicious. the employees were kind and the service wad excellent. We will come back again!
We spent 3 nights in this old classic hotel. As most of Austrian properties, also this one was clean and nice, older interior, but clean. People at the reception and during breakfast were very helpful and very positive. Live piano music during evenings. Location is very convenient, short walk to Graben, Opera, Albertina,Hofburg with Sisi Museum, etc. Little café next to the hotel for breakfast, otherwise 38 EUR per person for full breakfast in the hotel, 30 EUR parking per day ( we got 20% off). We will definitely consider a stay in Grand Hotel next time as well.
Today, 27.03.2022 , I was in the front of the hotel , waiting for a friend; so i bought a würstel for the right vender kiosk, some kind of turkish.... I gave him 50€ cash No receipt 30€ change instead of 35 i mean, in the center of Wien, one of the best city in the world, AS Quality of Life... those things happens UNBELIEVABLE
As the lobby Restaurant of Grand Hotel Wien Rosengarten tells a story dating back 150 years, the mansion designed by Carl Tietz still standing proud as a hub of Viennese social life since the days of Johann Strauss. A popular meeting place for both local and international guests, posh seating and windows looking out on Vienna Ringstrasse setting the stage day or night, it is here that many suggest one will find Austria’s best Guglhupf offered whole or by the slice. Open 10h00 to 24h00 for composed plates with multicultural influence, though earlier for Pastry, Coffee or Wine, service is attentive yet personable with Espresso served quick alongside Sparkling Water and tiny Chocolate Cookies. Waiting mere moments for items on display in the Pastry case, first Apple Strudel decorated with Breadcrumbs and Golden Raisins, it was after devouring every speck of delicate Puff Pastry that attention focused on Rosengarten’s Marble Poundcake – “grand” in every way from the light yet moist crumb to slivered Almonds that mingle with Dark Chocolate.…
Located in the heart of Vienna, this hotel with it’s unique architecture and remarkable interior offers you fairytale you ever wanted. Staff are so kind, hospitable and friendly. Dispite of its classy look, you can feel yourself cossy and relaxed. Brekfast is delicous and with excellent quality. Rooms and bathrooms are so spacious and clean. I felt like in fairytale back in the history in this beautiful city in the beautiful hotel. I would like to come back for sure.
This hotel was just wonderful, harking back to a Victorian grandeur, whilst updated for modern conveniences. The rooms were spacious, the staff friendly & helpful, and the location excellent, right on the Ringstrasse and a few minutes walk to Vienna's key sights and old town. The breakfasts were very good with a mixture of help yourself continental buffet featuring a good selection of cereals, fruit, hams, cheeses, juices etc. They also had a menu for a cooked breakfast, which was included in the price, but available as an addition to the cold breakfast, so you could have both, and at no extra cost. They even had complimentary sparkling wine available if you wanted to start your day off with a bang, although that was a bridge too far for us. (And it was nice, as we had a glass one evening in the cocktail bar). Finally, and maybe above all, even though it was a five star, I would describe it as being comfortable & relaxed. There was no unnecessary preening and formality, and you just felt cosseted in a nice, classy hotel. We had a minor problem with our room's air-conditioning on our first night, but the staff sorted it, as soon as we spoke to them the next morning. The double glazing in the room also worked well at keeping out any street noise. We were lucky, as the day we left, Austria announced their latest lockdown. When we go back to Vienna — which we will someday — we will stay here. Nice. Classy. Comfortable.…
Beautiful and romantic place, very relaxing, with good drinks and with nice waiters. Super chilling atmosphere direct on magnificent wiener ring. A place to feel and fully live the luxury atmosphere of Austrian empire
Decent hotel in a great location. Breakfast at the rooftop buffet not a highlight, with standard service, food and no view to speak of. Disappointment from reception when asked to help understand a train ticket we pre bought. The receptionist sent us to the wrong train station, so we ended up losing around 80 euros worth of tickets.
I booked a room at Grand Hotel as a member of LHW loyalty program. I have got upgrade from superior to deluxe room, continental breakfast, early check-in, late check-out and welcome amenities from hotel. Room was large, with elegant interior and view to Kaertner Ring street. Both room and bathroom were equipped very well. I have visited two hotel's restaurants: Rosengarten for lunch and dinner and terrace on 7-th floor for breakfast. Service and menu were great. Many thanks to concierge, reception, housekeeping and restaurant staff for great work.
