My stay at the Imperial, Vienna was amazing for the entire four days; right from check-in to check-out. The check-in staff greeted me with a sincere welcome and the room allocated was stunning in every way. It was spotless, gorgeously decorated, and had a small balcony with a great view of the street below. This has to be the grandest...

This is a stunning refined hotel. Had an issue with our booking that was sorted the next day by Christopher Tekin (sp?). Sorted professionally and beyond our expectations. Such genuine customer service is rare nowadays. Stunning public areas and suite. Rooms were spotlessly clean. The pianist in the bar is a delight to listen to - such talent. The location...

This is a beautiful, first class hotel. It is located in a perfect location close to the Vienna Opera House. The staff is wonderful. They helped us get some last min tickets to the Opera and the Spanish riding show. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Every major city has one or more five star hotels where the ambience is unique, the service exemplary and the facilities as good as you could hope for. The Imperial is certainly a Viennese example of the type. It is set in a convenient central location minutes from many of the major galleries and attractions; the interior spaces are delightful,...

What a fantastic stay! This is where heads of state stay when visiting Vienna and I know why! Fantastic location, helpful staff, and the rooms were amazing. Just renovated. Had the feel of a Ritz Carlton. If you are homesick for American food, TGI Fridays is a block away!

We arrived at the hotel in mid-morning following a Crystal Danube Riverboat Cruise and expected, as normal, that our room would not be ready. We were prepared to drop our bags and go out and see more of Vienna. Much to our surprise, our room was ready and waiting for us and what a room it was - an elegant,...

The Imperial has to be the most elegant hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. After all, it was an actual palace at one time. The location in the heart of Vienna is within easy walking distance to many of the historic and cultural destinations. And the staff will have a cab for you in minutes for...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
