House of Time

A place worthy of the most precious commodity of all House of Time – pause for thought in step with the times Time is one thing above all else: precious. Particularly the time that we spend with our nearest and dearest, away from our day-to-day lives. And that is precisely what House of Time was created for – a private residence in the heart of Vienna, with five exclusive suites, which is now welcoming visitors from all over the world. This grand mid-19th century building on the bustling Karmelitermarkt in the second district stands out from the crowd right from the very first glance. The ornate facade shows the path through life, the personal “my way”, that each and every one of us takes. It reminds us of the uniqueness of each individual moment, urging us to savour and make the most of every minute. This approach extends to the interiors of the residence and its five luxury suites. Named Playground, Caesar’s Paradise, Home of Music, Garden of Eden and Love Boat in Saigon, each of the generously proportioned suites is as unique as it sounds. One features a path made of stones from Rome’s legendary Via Appia leading to a gilt portal, another features an original Japanese dining table where guests can sit down to a meal as if they were at court and, in the next, visitors are greeted by hundreds of long-stemmed white roses. But despite all the differences, numerous repeated elements and themes tie them all together, making any stay at house of time such an exceptional experience. Touches such as the attentive personal service, minibars in the rooms stocked with guests’ favourite drinks, snacks and breakfast ingredients fresh from the market, to name but a few. And it goes without saying that all this is included as standard. Just like the open invitation to explore the hotel’s communal spaces. These include amenities such as the professional kitchen where budding chefs can realise their culinary ambitions, the Karmel meditation room for self-discovery, and Club 39 – the former Parisian bistro club in the basement. A place brimming with personality – for true personalities.

Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.

Why does the staff ask to make copies of our passports? Made us very suspicious since ones identity can be stolen from a pass port.
Dear Guests, first: thank you for your stay in House of Time ! I am sorry, but the law in Austria requires to copy the passport and register legally. I know in USA the situation is different. I hope you are well ! Best Regards from Vienna, Natalia Bruckberger House of Time FANCY SUITES VIENNA
