We stayed in Novotel in may 2022 with two kids (10 and 8). The rooms are clean and decent. The location is superb! one station away from city center and plenty of eateries outside the hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Being a vegetarian the breakfast was a bit disappointing. Overall we had a good stay at Novotel.
Excellent hotel 2d walk from the main train station at the exit from the gate next to the restaurants. Clean hotel very good service.Breakfast breakfast. There is a gym and sauna 19th floor overlooking Vienna. Convenient public transportation Train to the airport 15 minutes. Buses and tram D and subway U1.
It’s our 6-7 Stay in this hotel. The service is great good helpful stuff (reception and bar!!) and nice spa with a view. I want to thank for the upgrade the stay before. The person from the check in was reacting great - after we had a little issue in the room we got. The bedding for our kids where not arranged… so he apologised for the inconvenience and upgrade us… - we appreciate the fast and uncomplicated reaction of the employee. Great 👍 - we definitely find our place when coming to Viena. See you soon and thanks…
Great central highrise hotel just outside Vienna's train station. Contemporary decor and polite and professional staff. Karlsplatz is just a 10 minute tram ride away. The airport just 30 minutes away. Hotel is ideal for families as family rooms are spacious to accomodate up to 4 persons. Cleanliness was impeccable throughout the stay. Breakfast we didn't take as it was terribly busy the days we lodged. On a negative, and the only reason for dropping one review star; two of the three elevators were out of use, leading to unreasonable waiting times. Parking although available is on the high side. We would definately stay again next time in Vienna.
Was transiting through Vienna between Vienna Airport (arriving at 10pm) and departing from Bratislava Airport at 1pm the next day, and arriving late and with two children (4 and 8) we decided to stay in Vienna and as close to the train station for our 10am train to Bratislava the next morning. Did not take long to find the Novotel, and more that met our needs. Stones throw from the back door of the train station (we made mistake of going to the front door and had to walk all the way around) and were checked in (with COVID needed also done) in no time to our room. Lovely large room that was more than big enough for the 4 of us. Prices were good, and while no breakfast was on offer, there is more than enough places to eat in the train station at reasonable rates. Staff are excellent and really made our stay enjoyable. Maybe not idea for basing yourself if staying a few days in Vienna, but if transiting via the airport/train station, its more than suitable.…
The staff in the reception was very accomodating and very friendly when we checked in. The rooms we booked were quite nice but the toilet bowls, eventhough they were clean, looked dirty at first glance due to scratches in it. Also, the bathroom sink was clogged. We were informed by the reception that in lieu of the new year, breakfast is until 12 noon. However, when we came at 10am most of the things were empty and they started closing up at 11. A family (who came a few minutes before 11am, because they were also told that breakfast was until 12 noon) complained but the staff just told them that they were wrong. We had to wait for a long time to make a waffle because only one side of the waffle maker was working and one side was dirty. Also, the melon slices served were not good anymore.…
We stayed a few days at this hotel and loved its location near the train station. The staff was friendly, the hotel spotless and the breakfasts absolutely lovely. Our room was very quiet and perfect for our stay.
Normally the train station areas of Europe offer cheaper but sleazier digs. If you have an early start or tight budget these make sense. But staying next to the train/ubahn station also makes getting around much easier, and getting lost much more difficulty. Plus you have plenty of inexpensive meals to choose from. On top of this Novotel provides a great view from its rooms and especially from its sauna on the penthouse level. Rooms are clean if cramped, and the hotel offers an excellent breakfast. Convenient parking.
we booked this for 1 night as we had to take an early train to Prague. location just across the train station makes it a perfect choice! we had a triple room that was big enough for all 3 of us big fellas, with comfortable and wide beds. 10-15 minutes walking from Ringstrasse, so it's a nice walk to the city center. The hotel's lobby has plenty of sitting area and was very vibrant during the evening/night
Spotless Cleaning property. Great location. Very helpful staff. I needed to locate a testing place on a Saturday for my return flight to the USA and the front desk was extremely helpful in finding a location and printing out my test results for my flight home.
