We booked this hotel because it was near to the Metropol venue and it was decent price. On appearance, this hotel is quite good with a nice and clean reception area and the rooms are also ok. However, we did have quite a few gripes. During booking, we asked for a room near a lift, as I had a broken...

Nothing particularly fancy about this hotel, but then again there's also no basis for any complaint whatsoever. Everything is just good. The lobby is nice and pleasant. The rooms are clean, with a modern touch. The food is okay. I enjoyed my stay here.

Location is good to visit Vienna, the tram stop into the centre is a couple of moments away on the main road, the staff were very welcoming & friendly and helpful at all times. The room was comfortable & clean, the beds were a little firm for our taste and extra pillows are not provided. There are many shops &...

Dear AllWhoWander2016, thank you so much for writing this review! It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. Certainly we also provide extra pillows for our guests if you tell the Front Office Team. Barbara Heinz at front desk has really bad attitude. We have booked one big size bed for one couple honeymoon but her reply was "no one bid bed". You can put your twin together yourself. The travel agent must requested the bid bed but she just didn't want to help. Even though, she could ask house keeping to put beds...

Hotel is convenient to public transportation and staff is helpful in suggesting restaurants and providing directions via public transportation. There are a few eating places nearby, but the more interesting restaurants require a tram ride to center city -- an easy thing to do.

The location of the hotel is great! There's a Lidl supermarket downstairs (so forget about those vending machines with overpriced snacks right outside the lifts) and it's very close to the tram stop. To get to the city centre, just take tram 43 (towards Schottentor). You may stop at Alser Straße to board the U-Bahn (i.e. subway). However, getting to...

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Ensure the windows are closed otherwise you will get no sleep due to all the street and city noises. The location of the hotel is very good with a tram stop very close to the hotel. It takes ±15-20 minutes on a direct tram ride to the Centre of Vienna. The breakfast was good...

A nice place three tram stops away from the nearest metro station (a trip to the city centre will take you half an hour). Clean, nice, warm - everything needed for a person who wants to see Vienna and needs hotel only to sleep there.

The location of the hotel is very good, around 40 minute walk to the Centre of Vienna and a direct tram ride in 15-20 minutes. Parking is available via underground car park and is quite tight especially in a big car! However mind is eased that your car will be safe. When entering the hotel the desk is easily found...

Staying in Ottakring

Neighbourhood Profile
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
