I came here with my sister last month for a two night stay in Vienna.
First thing's first, the location is absolutely fantastic - a 5 minute walk to the University and beautiful church (ideal if you're going on a bus tour and need to...More
the location is near the center. We are disappointed of the hotel rooms - cartoon walls with scratched wallpapers, dirty, hairy bathroom, dirty chairs, broken table, remains of previous customer drinks in the minibar...

I stayed here only one night, arriving wuite late.... I hink it is a good hotel for business travellers. Location is ok, with some pubs near By. Breakfast is ok, nothing fany but what do you need; a cup of coffee and some sandwiches ;)
The hotel was nice, clean ,WiFi was good ,the staff was wonderful BUT the only thing that I hated that there is no smoking area ,if you want to smoke , you should go outside the hotel with minus 2 Celsius. .......
Hotel is conveniently located in a walking distance to all important sight-seeings of Innere Stadt (Vienna's 1st District). Beds are wonderfully confortable and hotel's staff kind and friendly. Hotel has charm of past times but the same time is in kinda shabby condition. All compliments...More

The eighth district is an older generation’s Vienna at its finest: and this is what makes it popular with locals of all ages. Josefstadt has theatre, small independent shops, romantic passageways, neighbourhood cafés with regular clientele, church squares, town palaces and shady communal gardens. Trendy hangouts have conquered distinctive places such as the Old General Hospital (Altes AKH) and the vaults of
overground U6. Theater in der Josefstadt on Josefstädter Strasse is the district’s cultural epicentre. Even if your German isn’t good enough to watch a play, you can marvel at the typical Biedermeier building and take a glimpse into the foyer. Lange Gasse houses an iconic local restaurant at its corner, as well as a legendary sweet shop and a bustling neighbourhood market every Saturday. For small palace atmosphere and a different view on Vienna’s history, make your way to Schönborn garden palace (Palais Schönborn), which houses the Museum of Folk and Folk Art (Volkskundemuseum). Maria-Treu-Platz, with its summer outdoor cafés facing baroque church Maria Treu, and the historic passageway of Lerchenfelder Strasse 13 hide top spots for insiders.
