We booked this hotel based on proximity to town and were so impressed with the standard and service we received. We did receive a complimentary room upgrade which was a pleasant surprise, our room overlooking the river and old town. The room was not enormous, but was extremely well thought out and offered maximum use of space. Breakfasts were brilliant,...

A Beautiful building alongside a romantic river over looking an historic city. Gods in heaven. Alls right with the world in Salzburg. The choice of 3 restaurants for different dining styles provided consistently high service and excellent food. The fine dining restaurant takes you back in time to an ornate era when numerous artworks, stuffed animals and antiques created interest...

I booked the Sacher Hotel after seeing it on my last visit to Salzburg and I was determined to treat myself to it - I was NOT disappointed! Yes, it is not cheap but when even the basic twin room has it's own entrance with luxurious separate bathroom and toilet, dressing area and a gorgeous bedroom with seriously comfortable beds,...

I stayed at Hotel Sacher in November. We had a really good experience. The room was well equipped with all amenities. Our room was overlooking the river and was a nice one on the whole. We were quite disappointed with the sacher torte though since it was dry.

We visited as a family just prior to Christmas. Front desk staff and service were top notch. Rooms were well appointed and well equipped. Common areas were outstanding especially the "living room" off the main lobby. The Christmas tree, which extends from the ground floor just across from the Front Desk, up through the atrium 3 stories, is not to...

The infamous Sacher Hotel was a haven of luxury. Prompt check-in, then to room with requested river view and balcony, which was a real bonus. Even though it was December, we enjoyed sitting watching the world go by on the river, and across the bridge nearby. Room was bright and well appointed. Bathroom was marble lined and modern with beautiful...

Excellent location for the Christmas markets and castle. We had excellent rooms looking out over the river which was very picturesque. The hotel was traditional and had nice little treats in the rooms which our children enjoyed. The restaurant in the hotel was nice but very expensive compared to restaurants in the local area. Our tour operator had breakfast included...

I had been to salzburg as a child many times, and did stay at this old establishment first as a 10 year old, later as an adult. The hotel is in a lovely location, and has old world charm for sure. The concierge girls were very friendly. The rooms: we had a nice suite facing the river, it was old...
