Small and fine Guests may stay in one of your 12 rooms and can decide between view onto the lake or to the mountains - whatever you choose, you will not regret it. Cupboards and chairs are eco-furniture made of solid Swiss stone pine wood a local joiner manufactures for our hotel. Since the extensive refurbishment in 2014 all rooms have been equipped with box spring beds, high-end bathrooms as well as WiFi, TV, radio and telephone. The large wooden balconies and the comfortable small pub garden on the market square offer opportunies for a big breakfast, as does the breakfast room itself, where you may start your day in a most enjoyable way.

At first, I should tell hotel has perfect location. But when we come to hotel we were confused beacuse there wasn´t any receptionist. After some time of our confusion we called on number which was on the reception. They told us that they send us e-mail with code and we can get our key from one of the boxes. Ok, we didn ´t noticed e-mail with this information - it was our fault. But still... hotel with no receptionist? We had some questions about Hallstatt and parking but there wasn´t anybody. It was very strange because anyone can get into hotel. It follows that nobody controled our test or vaccination certificate - not very responsible in this crazy time of coronavirus. There was a sign that this is hotel AND restaurant, but not really. We were hungry and we went to this restaurant, but it was closed and again, there was nobody. So we have to go somewhere else. Room was nice (except small table coverd with dust - near bed), cosy, lovely view from wooden balcony. Breakfast - very nice, fresh, tasty and lot of options. Waitress was very kind and friendly, so thank you for that :). We payed 200€ for 2 people (1 night) and I think it is not very cheap so I expect more from this hotel.

FOOD WAS INEDIBLE! Especially the meat was though, I was able to eat only half of that. The salad was spoiled. Other food (cheese nudels) wasnt tasty at all. I can only recommend to avoid this Place!! Waiter was quite friendly and professionell.

We have stay at the Seewirt for the last two New Year’s Eve. We had the most wonderful stay. The hotel is beautiful and has a magical feel to it. Our New Year’s Eve meal was amazing, and the owner really played a part in making it a amazing night, by maintaining the local traditions. The views from the balcony are beautiful as you over look the central square. I would highly recommend the hotel, and we hope to visit again soon.

First the good: The location is fantastic, the look is nice, and generally, it seems clean. The staff was also quite friendly and helpful when we needed it. The bad: There was a very unpleasant smell in the room. We think it was coming from the drain in the shower. There's also no way to regulate the temperature of the room. During our three-day stay, we saw someone at the front desk once. In the mornings, there is one staff person whose job includes serving breakfast, and taking care of check-outs/other typical front desk duties, leaving them stretched too thin to do a great job at either. The food was mediocre and expensive compared to the other 2 hotel restaurants we visited in Hallstatt. You can hear everything going on in the room next to you.

Stayed one night. Feel the hotel was exactly as stated, safe, quiet, central location and perfect to spend night on a snowy holiday evening. Rates were a little high for what you get but we felt staff couldn’t have been nicer and accommodating. They communicated frequently prior to trip, refused tips, and went out of there way to help celebrate my Birthday. We are very appreciative of how special the dinner was in their charming restaurant. Now my two cents...like everyone Hallstatt looks like a post card town. In reality we drove here and were able to stop along the way in nicer towns with more charm and less crowds. Had I only had a short time in Austria I doubt a train or bus ride would be worth the hassle to get here. There is a smattering of stores, a lake view some restaurants and not much else. Had we not had hotel reservations we would have soldiered on after two hours. Also when you visit anywhere in Austria know that 40% of the population smokes so second hand smoke is inevitable.
