Hotel Unter den Linden is very well located in the center of Krems. Most of the attractions are in walking distance. E.g. Boat Station, Steiner Tor (Landmark of the city), all museums and many of our outstanding restaurant. It is a top 3* Hotel which serves bed and breakfast, but on a high level. Although it is a city hotel, you do not have to expect much noise. Parking in front of the Hotel is for free, as well as WLAN in all rooms. Andrea and Klaus Grech run this Hotel in fifth generation. Old building but with a modern touch.

We went to Krems for three days vacation. The hotel is conveniently placed 5 minutes walking distance to old town, easy to reach by car and has own parking. We had a comfort room with view towards the winery hills. The room was large, very clean, well heated (full guest control at any time) and had everything a traveller might need. The breakfast selection was good. The staff was very friendly, the owners were present and part of the activity. Overall we felt welcome and we enjoyed our short stay, definitely we will come back sometime.

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the last few years, big and small. This hotel is one of the better hotels with a few caveats. The positives: friendly and accommodating staff, large room, clean property and room, great room and bath lighting, great water pressure in sink and shower, excellent WiFi, walking distance to town,, restaurants and shopping, good breakfast buffet, covered secure bicycle parking in the rear courtyard. The negatives: no air conditioning but you do have a room fan, no air conditioning means you have to keep the windows open, keeping the windows open means you’ll hear vehicle traffic racing by ( and I do mean racing by, especially the motorcycle boys who like to hear their engine reverberating between the buildings) all night long as well as people walking by at all hours of the night having loud conversations after drinking beer all night long. We had a room on the front of the building. Maybe a room at the back of the hotel would be quieter. Bottom line- we would stay here again but ask for a room at the rear of the hotel away from the streets.

Dear guest, thank you so much for the great review, we really appreciate it. It's good to hear that you liked your stay at our hotel. When you visit us next time please let us have a short reminder that you would prefer a room facing the court and we will do our best that your next stay will be more quiet. Please do note though that we are still a city hotel, meaning it will always be more lively than somewhere on the country. Best greetings from everyone, Thomas (reception)

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in June 2019. Our room was one of the larger ones in the hotel and I believe that some of the rooms vary quite a lot in size and decor from others. So if you are considering staying here, you should go to their website and look closely at each room that is available for your dates. We also recommend making reservations well in advance because the hotel is very popular. We used the hotel as a base for exploring the Wachau valley. The location of the hotel is superb in the center of town. It is very close to the Danube River, the boat landing, and one of the main bridges over the Danube. This last item is important because there are places to explore on both sides of the river. One day we took a boat ride to Melk and then back to Krems. The bike paths on both sides of the Danube are very close to the hotel as well. Breakfast was very good and served in a very elegant main hall. The staff was friendly and very helpful with information about the area. The hotel has adequate parking and is a reasonably priced lodging. The entire building has 14 foot ceilings (approx) and a wonderfully elegant atmosphere from a genteel, bygone era of simpler times. We enjoyed our 4 night stay very much.

This is a reasonably priced 3 star hotel within a 5 minute walk to the old city center. There are also many restaurants within walking distance. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Hotel stay includes free WiFi as well as a small breakfast buffet is with very good selections. Free hotel parking across the street is a nice bonus. The only negative is that there is no AC in this hotel. As we were there during a heat wave, it made sleeping difficult. They do provide fans but the window is small so the fan provided only a tiny bit of relief.

Lived this hotel, it was a true surprise that for a decent price we got a specious, clean room. Lovely staff that accommodated our every request (checking in late at night etc),free parking and great spot to start our Wachau Valley trip. Plus, breakfast was so good! Large variety, vegetables, eggs, and desserts to die for. Loved it!!! Great choice!!
