The Avanti Hotel garners appreciation for its exceptionally clean facilities and the convenience of its location, which offers easy access to beaches and local hotspots. Guests commend the friendly and meticulous staff, though some have noted occasional slow service at the pool bar.
Despite concerns regarding the vibrancy of the atmosphere and room size, many travelers feel the hotel provides good value. The amenities, such as the well-maintained pool and diverse breakfast options, are popular among guests.

Detailed Reviews
We have stayed at this hotel several times and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone as it has such a special relaxing atmosphere due to it being a family run hotel. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble and everyone welcomes you with a smile. The management team are always available and the reception team are exceptionally kind and helpful, especially Zoe the front office manager and Elizabeth.
The rooms are very comfortable and kept spotlessly clean by the excellent housekeeping staff.
The pool area is very pleasant with a large pool, lots of space, lawns and trees and shady areas and there are always plenty of sunbeds available at any time of day.
It is lovely to eat breakfast outside, where there are plenty of tables and the food is good with lots to choose from.
It is in a great location near to the beach and to the seafront walkway down to the harbour. It is also close to the bus stop and to several good restaurants and bars.
We have stayed at some of the more expensive hotels right on the beach but prefer to return to the Avanti hotel.

Hotel is kept very clean, we were bed and breakfast basics and food for breakfast was always fresh. Pool towels can be exchanged each day and rooms cleaned daily too. Only a 30 min walk to the Harbour or a 10 min bus trip for a couple of euros. Beach 5 minutes walk away next to Watersports area that Stavros Flatley owns, well worth a visit, drinks and food can be delivered to your sunbed!
Entertainment is ok, some nights the Avanti advertised a mini disco but then we were told last minute that it was only on at the Village hotel so that led to a mad dash over to keep the kids happy!
Kids club offered 3 children a space for 1 hour a day, they could not accept more children they said due to covid compliance.
Local restaurants are good and a few minutes walk if you don’t want to go to the harbour.
Only downside, we stayed for 9 nights and on day 1 we asked for a late check out room (60 euros) and were told they could not confirm until the morning of checkout , on morning of checkout we were told there were none available but then we spoke to 3 other families who had moved the previous night from the Avanti village, stayed 1 night in the Avanti hotel and then were given a late checkout room. It seems being a guest for 9 nights meant nothing to the management so that was an unfortunate annoyance at the end of our holiday.

This was our second holiday at the Avanti and we stayed here at the beginning of April for 10 nights. We had a superb room overlooking the pool with a lovely basket of fruit and a bottle of wine as a welcome surprise. The room was excellent and well furnished; the bathroom was nice with soap, showergel & shampoo supplied and topped up daily. Everything was clean with sheets changed every 3 days; the cleaner Tamara was excellent and kept our room very clean; she always had a smile for us and is a credit to the hotel.
On the level below reception is a games area, hair salon, child nursery, sauna, fitness suite and indoor pool. You can exit the hotel into the gardens and pool area here.
We stayed bed and breakfast and enjoyed the food on offer at breakfast which served until 10.00am. There was nothing lacking at breakfast; cereals, fruit & many cooked items if you wanted a full English with eggs freshly cooked to your liking. There was also fresh bread, croissants and bread for toasting along with coffee, tea, fruit juice etc.
The hotel only reopened on April 1st so it was fairly quiet. The hotel is set in huge well maintained gardens with plenty of room for everyone. The pool area was well maintained and you are supplied pool towels which can be exchanged for clean towels each morning next to the indoor pool. We had lunch and drinks at the pool bar several times at a reasonable cost; the portions were substantial so we both shared a single serving on a couple of occasion. The pool bar also sells ice cream and milkshakes as well as alcoholic & soft drinks.
We didnt eat at the hotel in the evenings but enjoyed drinks at the hotel bar served by long serving Tassos before eating at nearby restaurants or in the harbour area in Paphos. We enjoyed walking into the harbour area along the beachside "boardwalk" past the long line of "all inclusives" which takes about 20-30 mins; we were glad we stayed again at the family run Avanti which has many long serving and loyal staff rather than at one of the chain hotels.
The hotel is rated as a 4 star hotel but it is a five star review from us for this well run, clean & well maintained family owned hotel.
We will be back again in April 2023.

+1
The Avanti Hotel is super for families with kids and for couples too. The moment you arrive sets the tone for the rest of the holiday , complimentary fresh cool juice for each person as you check in smoothly at the front desk. The hotel staff work continuously to keep the place spotless and the maids are in every day to clean your room and change your towels. If there was one gripe it would be that the rooms are a little tight for a family of four but that’s it. I also think that’s it’s not right to get up early and put your towels down on sun beds before turning up five hours later. The pool is large and warm and the pool bar staff were great ( the grumpy one went over to the Avanti Village ) so we didn’t have to see his grumpy face and surly attitude for more than one day. The food at breakfast was more than adequate and the lad at the egg/omelette station was a true star working under constant pressure , I’ve put his picture up , he should be applauded. There is a basement area with a play area and games for your kids , a gym which we used a few times and an indoor pool too. There was also a Spa on level 1 and a table tennis room. Near the hotel there are numerous pubs (crocodile Pub and Pegasus Pub were the best) bars and restaurants, too many to mention to be honest . The only authentic Cypriot restaurant was the Lichnari which you have to turn right as you leave the hotel entrance and walk up the road for 50 yards before you cross over . The Lichnari does not look much from the outside , it’s on the corner and looks old school but that’s the point , no fancy sofas and mood lighting just great food , great prices and super service. We also went to Romeos tavern next to the Crocodile Pub it was very average and overpriced for what it is but if you want a bit of pasta or a basic tourist type dish you’ll be fine .
If you do the 20 minute stroll to the harbour you’ll find a plethora of eating and drinking venues , amongst the best was Pinguino Cafe/restaurant, it’s opposite a taxi spot and has great food at great prices , service was hit and miss but the food was fab so we went there a few times. The Wooden spoon pub has real ales and proper beer if you get fed up of Keo and Leon local lager, you find the Wooden Spoon Pub along the harbour walk near Pizza Express.
Best Paphos beach is a 20 minute drive up to Coral Bay it’s the next beach along from coral bay and it’s in front of Coralia Beach Apartments, lovely soft sand clear shallow water and not crowded like Coral Bay. It’s the last stop on the bus route if you take the bus and has a massive car park purpose built unlike some of the dusty dirt Rocky car park’s you’ll encounter.
Paphos has something for everyone especially for families.

The good bit: our room was very nice, clean and spacious. We had a nice balcony with views towards the sea and we could watch the beautiful sunsets. The cleaning staff did a great job keeping the room clean and were always friendly whenever we saw them.
Not so good: we were extremely disappointed with the breakfast after we’d read such good reviews. Firstly there were no staff to greet you or advise anyone or ask any questions you might have. This is supposed to be a 4* hotel and I would expect to have a table already laid, a member of staff to serve coffee/tea and to have dirty plates taken away. Instead we had to lay our own table, collect the coffee, and sit with dirty plates on the table. Every half hour or so young staff come out to clear tables and stand scraping plates into bins right next to where you’re eating. The food is not 4* quality, bacon and sausages are cheap versions, cheese is processed squares and the yogurt was not the thick Greek yogurt I would expect. We did not eat in the restaurant in the evening so unable to comment except we were not enticed to eat in what looked like a brightly lit canteen.
For us, the pool had far to many sun beds around making it packed and not somewhere we wanted to spend time, but I appreciate that some people like it like that. Overall I would say this is a 3 * hotel.
For people staying in the area, I would say if you’re looking for somewhere with a Greek feel, this is not the area for you. It’s busy, commercialised and quite dirty in places. Lots of rubbish laying about. The weather was perfect though, and there are some wonderful sunsets. No Sandy beaches, and the sea was very weedy. We found sun-beds by the sea on a grassy space with nicely spaced beds, which was fine for relaxing and reading. Hope this is useful to someone as I wish we’d researched the area better before choosing this holiday.

Returned from the Avanti Hotel on 25th May after a very nice week at this hotel on a bed & breakfast basis.
The location is very close to many bars and restaurants, although it seems so private when in the grounds or at the pool due to the well kept gardens and trees which hide the hotel from the main road.
The rooms although not the most modern are kept very clean and well maintained and are well equipped with air conditioning, TV , fridge etc.
The maid service seems to be top notch..and nice touches are left in the room, notably a bottle of fizz and a card for a birthday gift and complimentary fruit bowl and wine as returning guests.
Also a 15% discount for returning guests from their total drinks bill at check out is always helpful.
The pool area is excellent and kept very clean with plenty of sun loungers and complimentary pool towels.
The swim up pool bar is ideal for drinks and food and is kept ticking over by the very efficient Louiza and her team, Louiza is a very polite, cheery and hard working person who runs that area very well indeed.
We have stayed in the Avanti Hotel a good few times now and it never disappoints therefore if going to Paphos again we will no doubt be back as it has all we need for a very comfortable holiday, the staff are great and the breakfasts were very enjoyable too.
A few cats about but they don't really bother the guests too much as far as I could see.
Never tried the restaurant for lunch or dinner as was B&B so cannot comment on that.

Stayed at the Avanti from 20th July to 3rd August, stayed here many times before and as always it didn’t disappoint. We were greeted on arrival by a lovely receptionist who was so patient checking in 10 of us and were given complimentary drinks at the reception desk. Rooms overlooked pool area and as always clean and spacious with complimentary fruit, wine and water in the room on arrival, safe has been upgraded to digital safe since our last visit payable on checkout at €2.50 per day (€35 for 2 weeks stay), safe locked automatically on day of departure at 12.00pm ( had late checkout til 6pm) swiftly sorted by maintenance. Pool bar staff were lovely and always greeted you with a smile in particular Louiza, pool entertainment everyday which you could join in if you wanted to but were not hassled to do so. Cleaners friendly and came in everyday to clean rooms. Lovely to see Zoe still on reception who has always been welcoming. A massive big thank you thou to Zoe the manager at the hotel who always goes above and beyond making our stay unforgettable every time. The hotel is run with friendly staff who greet you with a smile, nothing is to much trouble. We will definitely be back to the Avanti soon.

We visited this hotel in July for 10 days, and the Avanti Hotel exceeded our expectations. On arrival, we were greeted and welcomed by the staff and were made to feel very comfortable.
The location is perfect, with plenty of bars and restaurants with in walking distance. The pool was huge, and you don’t need to worry about waking up early to get a sun bed.
The rooms were cleaned to a high standard everyday and were spotless. House keeping staff were lovely and greeted us every morning.
We booked bed and breakfast, which was okay, with a verity of options to choose from. Food was sometimes a little on the cold side.
We just want to thank Stuart, the over night receptionist who made our stay a rememberable one. He made us feel very welcome, and nothing was ever too much trouble.
We would fully recommend staying at this hotel, it was great value for money, and not too far from the Harbour. The bus stop is right outside the hotel, and the beach is only a 5-10 minute walk away.
We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

We stayed one week, half board, at the Avanti Holiday Village with full access to the Avanti Hotel amenities and I'm so glad this option was available to us 😌. We booked an experience at the spa which we thoroughly enjoyed. The massuse I had was exceptionally respectful, especially during my deep tissue massage. The pool is excellent with a peaceful atmosphere, at the pool bar the staff are very kind, plus the food is delicious 🥗! There is a good variation of day and evening entertainment, one night in particular, very talented performers danced and sung to some well known songs. ALL of the bar staff across the village and the hotel were so attentive, making sure you always had a drink on the table 🍹. Last but not least, the Alcyon Restaurant... the food was incredible!!! An all you can eat selection of food with themed nights made the experience all that more interesting. The team were very friendly and Renata the maitre ď deserves an award for her exceptionally professionally and attentive work. What a lovely, wonderful woman - give her a raise 🏆! All in all, I was torn whether to go to the hotel or the village every day I was there because I was happy every where I went. I will be back to Pafos, Cyprus, and I will be staying at the Avanti Hotel for the full experience 💕

We stayed for 1 week bed & breakfast, the hotel is lovely and has everything you need. We was greeted at Reception with drinks as we had a late flight in. The Reception staff was always willing to go out of there way to meet requests. One day I asked for a safety pin for one of my dresses, they didn't have any on reception but when I returned to my room later on a little sewing kit had been slid under the door (it's the little things!)
The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from, pancakes, omelettes pastry's and fruit (although this could have done to be in a fridge or cooling plate, as it didn't stay very fresh in the heat) Outdoor seating at breakfast time which is always a nice touch.
Pool area was always clean and we never struggled to get a bed no matter what time of the day you went down, day time entertainment was great we got involved in water polo and archery the entertainment team was lovely. The pool bar was really reasonably priced.
Evening entertainment was hit and miss, a few nights they had a singer on which was nice to sit outside and listen to. But for entertainment such as dancers the stage wasn't really ideal for this and did feel a little awkward at times! We did head down to the games room one night hoping for a few games of pool, but this had closed. Would be a nice touch if a pool table was available in the bar area.
The rooms were spacious and always kept clean, fresh towels and toiletries everyday, you couldn't ask for much more.
The location is great, you have everything you need on your doorstep, shops, bars and beech. However the marina is a longer walk away (about 25minutes) we did hire the electric scooters just outside the hotel to go to and from the marina a few days which was great fun! A Taxi to the marina was €8.
Overall a really good holiday we would definitely recommend!

Hi. There are loads in Paphos that are really good. Our favourites are kings at the Harbour, Chloes Chinese at the harbour, Happy Island Taverna is really great and good price. Porto Bella is a nice Italian. Xiang Gong opposite the hotel is very good, Jayanta Indian in town. Everyone will have their favourites. we have been coming for three years now and these are ones we visit.
The drinks are ok, not cheap average prices as expected around a pool area, refreshing and convenient. The frappes are not nice though, if you like frappe go to da Vinci end of the harbour best frappe and ice cream or venture to the hagen das ice cream near the Avanti village hotel. We had food at the Avanti village around the pool which l assume would be the same as the hotel and it was ok, fresh cooked with nice service, l found using both hotels beneficial, if you venture up the road next to Veronica hotel you have sti lakadolla grill better food and good price (think open 4pm but might be earlier ? ) and we also popped out to Rimini for mid day pizza which was about 11 euro each. I saw quite a few people bringing in take out food but not sure from which food place, but saw a take out food place near Rimini.
The hotel shop sells cans of pop and water which are cheaper than the supermarkets in the area so we kept a few drinks in our fridge and no one ever bothered us drinking our water or pop around the pool, we did only drink everything we bought from their shop so assume it’s not a problem. We did purchase from the pool bar too it has pretty much all you need, average price for average drinks so all you need really. If you buy water at the pool bar better value buying the litre bottle 3E, when ordering food l always ordered litre water between us and they were happy to give glass with ice at the tables I did this like table water and then if kids wanted fizz they just ordered whatever they fancied. Defo a reasonably priced hotel and resort.
The plugs are the same as at home. I’m not sure whether you need extensions but the hotel staff are amazing and I am sure they will help you with anything you need.
