Lovely hotel, very friendly staff especially in restaurant. Stayed few nights half board and food excellent with good choice. Sea view room was lovely, although road noise, great view and location for public transport and near Sliema ferry.

Good location, clean but old hotel. Most of the rooms do not offer sea view. Decent breakfast (buffet style), average lunch (buffet style). Good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Ease of access to public transport.

really nice hotel overlooking the sea. the hotel is a little dated inside, but it is very clean and the food is very good. great location with bus stops outside the hotel, and a short walk over the road to the sea front, where you can go for a walk along the rock walkway or bath in the pools. great...

We stayed at the Diplomat hotel as part of a Saga group for 4 nights. Our room was clean with twin beds and table and chairs. The resturant was a buffet format for breakfast and dinner. The selection of food was good even though only local wine and beer was available with evening meal. The staff in resturant and reception were friendly...

We have just returned from a three week stay at The Diplomat we found the hotel clean comfortable but rather dated it would benefit from a complete refurbish, but goodness knows how this could be achieved as the Hotel is open all year long. Apart from that we found the Diplomat a pleasure to stay in, all the staff courteous...

Rooms and fittings are fine, but not the most modern. Our bedroom balcony door did not lock. The AC is only on heating in Feb (temperatures...

My partner and I stayed at the Diplomat hotel for one week. We did bed and breakfast.Breakfast was a buffet which was excellent. The room was good the only complaint was the sheets on the bed where too small. The service, environment, cleanines, and staff was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We have just returned from our weeks holiday today. Just to say that we were very happy with the Diplomat hotel. The staff were excellent and the food good and varied. The hotel is slightly old fashioned decor eg oak panelling in the rooms but that was fine as far as we were concerned. Lots of interesting people to chat...

I am not a particularly light sleeper but we were one room back from the front and the hum of the traffic and balcony windows not being double glazed made sleeping difficult for me despite comfortable beds. Bathroom a bit dated but lots of hot water, shower gels etc. Unfortunately, out of the three nights, despite asking daily the beds...

Moved here from the Sliema hotel (which was awful) and we found the Diplomat to be a little dated but very adequate. As most people have said the rooms need updating. Road noise was the main issue and we moved rooms because of this, lets hope when they refurbish the hotel its dealt with. Not a bad location but parking...
