Ever since we decided to spend part of our multicountry trip in Sardinia, we wanted to go up into the central part of the island, into the mountains, near storied Barbagia. Don’t know if it’s actually Barbagia, but we did find the village of Villanovaforru and Casa Tipica “Sa Muredda” thanks to TripAdvisor. Our TomTom GPS got us close but...

Very conveniently located close to the village centre. All very clean and pleasant. We only had breakfast (evening meals are available and, apparently, very good) which was plentiful and very good quality.

We stayed here for the 1st 2 nights of our cycling holiday around the Southwest of Sardinia, we ate good food all week, but Pasqualino's cooking was by far the best, he used to be a chef and it's obvious he enjoys his cooking. We were originally going to eat there for the 1st evening only, but Pasqualino's offer to...

Pasquale is truly a wonderful host and fantastic cook-we had dinner 2 nights at the B&B and he cooks with imagination and pride in using organic ingredients from his own garden. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The B&B is close to many archeological sites and within striking distance of the beach. Our best stay during our 2 weeks in...

Pasquale made us feel very welcome at Sa Muredda! We arrived and he told us that the local pizzeria was shut and so he planned to make dinner - we expected a simple meal but he produced a 4 course dinner full of his home made sardinian delights! We even finished the meal with his home made liquors!! We would...

Arrived breathing our last after climbing a very steep hill into the village on our bikes. The house is hidden away down a track, next to a factory building. A very warm welcome from Pasquale the owner awaited us. The house and rooms were spacious and traditionally furnished. We agreed that we would head into the the village for a...

Our host was welcoming and a fantastic cook. And happy to share his culinary knowledge. All the meals were from home grown or locally sourced produce, and were absolutely delicious. A lovely place to stay.
