We were greeted by the owner who has a dry sense of humour which may explain some early reviews where his wit has been lost in translation. He takes pride in his business is genuinely interested in all his guests and will offer advice on how to spend their time. The building itself is modern and very clean, basic but...

Good hostel but cannot be considered guesthouse. Good dorms, kind family is managing it, nice breakfast. Close to the city centre and good view from the upper parts. If in the night there are some one partying in the common area, hard to sleep. Anyway fine and cheaper than the other costs

Really enjoyed our stay here. Quiet and peaceful. Spotlessly clean. Pleasant and helpful hosts. Nice common room. Shared bathroom had both bathtub and shower. Great breakfast available - reasonably priced and there are limited alternatives in town anyways. Easy walk to the restaurants in town and to the town's supermarket. There is a common kitchen if you want to bring...

We stayed here for the two first nights of our 2 weeks-long trip and we loved it. It simply felt like home. Nice rooms, very clean and quite spacious. Well refurbished kitchen and big living room. Our host were nice and very helpful as they gave us a map of the area and many suggestions on what to visit -they...

Large nice house! Everyone has to take off his shoes in the house so it is very clean. Good idea of the owner. The breakfast was much beter than we had in other places! The owners are really nice and helpfull. The WiFi is free and good. The house is a bit noisy and sometimes you have to wait to...

This place is only supposed to be a guest house ok? So you have to rate it against that.... The place was clean, very clean. The owners are very tidy and proud people. Double rooms barely big enough. Beds actually quite comfortable. 2 people with a suitcase each and there's literally no room for anything else. No small desk, no...

It started with an ice cold welcome and before putting luggage down the owner is asking you to pay. He is rude and disagreeable. The rooms are depressing with an even worse bath room to be shared by at leat 15 people. Don't stay for breakfast as 12€ per person and standard. He obviously does this job to make as...

We normally do not stay at guesthouses, but wanted to try this experience at least once while traveling to Iceland. I did not have an issue with taking off my shoes in the hallway since I am sure it is customary and who wants dirty hiking boots in the house. The room was very clean but small and basic. There...

I was in Iceland for 2 weeks. I stayed at wonderful places that were the same expense and less then this bad establishment. There was a sign on the door to go to the guesthouse next door. We met with the innkeeper who was not personable at all. There was a requirement to take your shoes off as you entered...

As a medium sized group of 9 (guys and girls), this was an amazing place to stay, in particular for the common area and kitchen. It gave us a place to gather after a day of exploring with great comfort! Rooms are a little small, but that's not unusual. It was better to have the space in the common area....
