Clean and tidy 3 star Hotel in Vik located about 180 km south east of Reykjavik on the main ring road. Great for a short overnight stop on your way to Jokulsarlon Glacier lagoon. Within walking distance to local supermarket just up the road and the well known Reynisfjara black sand beach and Stacks. Rooms comfortable but spartan without tea/coffee... More

We were driving the circle and decided to stop. This was not a planned stop, but a quick stop for sleep. There are lots of tourist sites in the area, Hotel was very nice and helpful receptionist, Anna. Rooms very clean and quiet. Breakfast had more than you could ask for. All staff were great. As stated in other reviews,... More

Simple, Very Clean, but Expensive. Keep in mind that Puffin has a hostel and a hotel. The hotel is very clean, free breakfast, super slow wifi, parking spots, but expensive @ $120 per night. Btw, what's up with the buttload of annoying Chinese tourists?!

We stayed in the 100 year-old Puffin Hostel, across the parking lot, run by the Puffin Hotel. Rooms were clean but very small, with very few shared-bathroom facilities. The shared kitchen at the basement needs some remodeling, because it is as old as the house. Wi-fi is poor. The wooden stairs are very steep and narrow, so bringing up a... More

Pretty nice place, old building but the interior is updated. Friendly staff, clean rooms and decent breakfast. There's a restaurant next door if you want to grab something quickly, it's a bit of a walk to anywhere else but if you're in Vik you likely have a car do the location doesn't matter.

Hotel is old, small and I think that probably one in the small city of Vik&Myrdal. Generally it's comfortable, we've been in middle size room ( I guess that it depends what you are expecting to have during wild Icelandic trip) but for us it was ok. I havent expected 100m apartment :) Expensive when you compare the price over... More

It looks like a factory from the outside but surely must be one of the most welcome sights after a long day on the road in Iceland. The whole experience is very 'outdoors' the floors have a heavy duty waterproof, everything proof coating, no need to remove walking boots or remove dripping coats. The rooms have what you need especially... More

Paid about 110 Euro for a room which I thought was worth more like 75Euro. It was in what looked like a new extension at the rear upstairs. the room was basic with a stone chip floor that was uncomfortable to walk on barefoot. There were no toiletries supplied. The hotel advertised free wifi available in all areas. The signal... More
