It was a nice stay at the Vik Hostel. The cabin was very comfortable and warm on our winter trip. Nicely built bunks and friendly kitchen area. The breakfast was nice and the staff were very helpful. The only bump was the sometimes hot sometimes warmish shower.

It's located in the the hilly far end of town center, 15 mins walk to supermarket. The place is ok clean with limited toilets. Wifi didn't work on the night I was there. Nice and helpful staff. Overall an ok reasonably priced place to stay for a stopover

Stayed here for 2 nights while waiting for the northern lights to miraculously appear (never happened!). Rooms are on the small side, especially in the attic, where the slanting ceilings of the house cut through your living space. Quite away from the beach as it is situated on the edges of town near the mountains already. The owners and the...

Hostel Vik was a fantastic find. Three friends and I stayed in one of the private cabins which were modern, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast offered in the morning. Would also recommend eating at the nearby restaurant for dinner. One of my favourite meals in Iceland! And, we received a 10% discount as hostel guests....

The HI hostel Vik is a cute little hostel set in what could be described as and old farmhouse. It is up the road from the first hostel sign, this is the restaurant affiliated with the hostel, do not confuse the two :) There is a common area with sofas and television right when you walk in, the wifi works...

Vik seemed to be more expensive than the other small towns. This was the only place we could find online that fit the budget range we had set. Location: It's a convenient stop at the edge of the town. We got one of the houses good for 8 people on the hill away from the main house. That provided us...

My friend and I checked in for two nights at the Vik Hostel. Christian was excellent in getting us settled and explaining all that he had to. We stayed on the top floor room #nine I believe in a six bunk dorm/room. Comfortable bed with linen provided, lights and power plugs close by. Nice views of the church and sea...

Stayed there for one night on my way to Hofn - need to take a very short gravel road to get there, cute location! I was very impressed by the breakfast offered, there was home smoked trout, dandelion syrup, and other interesting options available. Downside was there's like, one bathroom per floor (at least on the bottom floor) so the...

After reading Trip Advisor review I wasn't sure about the place. The price was cheapest we found in Vik so had to do. Upon arrival the hostel but crowded however given the rooms on top floor we didn't experience any dampness in our rooms. The single room and double room both has same size bed but just one less linen....

I only stayed one night at the hostel, but they saved me from sleeping outside with no tent! A guy from the Skaftafell hostel called them for me(when the Skaftafell hostel was fully booked) and even though they were booked out, they allowed me to stay in a tiny, lovely camper next to the hostel. The camper had a small...
