This was the hotel we had been most excited about on our trip and it did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful building inside and out. Rooms are lovely. Beds are like sleeping in a cloud. Showers powerful and hot! We whiled away a good few...More
Rooms are beautiful. We just made the mistake of going on New Year's Day this year so everything was closed. But adorable town and we made the most of it. Find a sled and enjoy the snow if you go at this time. Loved it!...More
The hotel is in a lovely location overlooking the water. Some lovely public spaces and we chilled out with tea and coffee near the fire overlooking the water. The rooms were very comfortable and large enough to spread out. Our room overlooked the road and...More
We stayed at multiple hotels in Iceland but nothing came close to this one.
It is perhaps out of the way for some people being north of Akuryeri with few apparent attractions around however the drive alone is worth it!

The hotel is very nice - beautiful, set on the water, has a large outdoor hot tub. Staff very accommodating. Very near the Arctic Circle. The drive to Siglo Hotel at the very top of the Troll Peninsula along the coast was majestic.

It is beautiful in winter. The drive from Reykjavik can be a bit exciting depending on the weather, so if you are not accustomed to winter driving you may consider public transport. Also, it is dark all the time, so be prepared for that as well. You have a good chance to see northern lights as well. I recommend it.

Hello. I stayed two night and menu same had beef one day and lamb the other. Most amazing. Hotel is lovely and really nicely done. WiFi can be a little iffy but not really used if you're busy walking, looking at views, exploring etc. There is a nice Bakery in the town and restaurant called Hannes Boy also owned by hotel (yellow building) opposite Hotsl towards middle of town and one next door to it too. Town isn't that big either so can be explored, I didn't have much time to explore it.
